If every single one of NPZ’s post were organized and printed out in book form I would buy the hardcover.

I’m not even kidding, I’d love that book. This guy is our own little secret treasure.

I'd buy it...and use it to prop up my coffee table, as it leans a little down-and-to-the-left.

I hate to break it to you, but NPZ is actually an AI chat bot. NPZ is entertaining, though the mods have to remove the auto-generated links to hot escort dating sites.

The book already exists. Turn the Quran upside down and read it backwards.

You guys realize that same sex marriage is legal, and there are arrangements for polyamory?

Now THIS!!!1 is what I call a thread topic! Listen to this man, Dladi V, people. He's leading you in the appropriate direction.

Dladi, pay no mind to the haters who are CLEARLY jealous of our mutual admiration society. Anyone who scoffs is just jelly that you don't want a book format version of THEIR posts.

Hardcover? Ehhh. Paperback? Absolutely.

Kidding, NPZ. I'd definitely fork over big bucks for hardcover (side note: I joke with my parents that they're single-handedly keeping the book publishing business going. On release day, they always buy hardcover of every David Baldacci, Michael Connelly, Lee Child, William Kent Kruger, James Patterson book).

I have Lakers friends who aren't on LG -- gasp, I know! -- and I have sent links to NPZ posts many times with several of his musings/comments/righteous rants, especially many of his big-picture historical posts or just the ridiculous minutiae ones ("This game in 1986 was when Kareem pointed at the Pacers bench because he got mad at being scraped in the eye and then scored 16 points in a 5-minute stretch and it was also the first time Chick ever said the game was in the fridge instead of the refrigerator.")

Obviously he is the god when it comes to Lakers videos but his posts are just as good, just as vital and I have spent hours reading them and enjoying them. I always learn something new or get a laugh and usually both.

To shamefully name drop but only very briefly and only to point out NPZ's reach, I've gotten to online know Nate Jones, pro agent/marketer famous for working with Dame. We connected through our mutual love of Magic and Showtime and several times a year Nate posts NPZ's Magic mix and it always gets tons of response and Nate talks about it being best Magic video on the web (all true, obviously. Adande is another one who posts it regularly and Stein does too). Anyway, last spring I sent him a heads up that NPZ was posting some insane Showtime stuff from the volt during quarantine.

And then I said this:
"I'm pretty sure I'd be in like the 99th percentile when it comes to Magic/Showtime knowledge, but compared to NPZ I'm Harold Miner and he's Jordan."

It's absolutely true. But of course it's not just Showtime where NPZ's knowledge shines. It comes through just as much with the current team or the debacles of the 2010s, with posts about movies and pop culture or politics. But as a fellow old head, I of course especially bond over the older stuff and especially love and appreciate those posts.

Bottom line: Yeah, I'd read an NPZ posts book. It'd be a damn bible.

I judge every LG man or woman based on their avatar. And NPZ's is always top notch.

What’s even more remarkable is all NPZ’s posts are done on a flip phone.

Say what you will, but in both cases the whole intent is to get it in the hole . . . just sayin'. And there's nothing wrong with that.

I do still use a comp with a tower. Easier for doing vid editing. I am seriously anti-tech. I didn't have a cellphone from about 2003 to 2013 and by then I was completely flummoxed by a smart phone as compared to the little basic Jitterbug cellular phone I had.

I know you folks were razzing me and my bro Dladi V, but I like all of you. You're good folk. I wish everyone the best in 2021. Health and happiness and toilet paper. I LOVE YOU, MAAAN AND WOMAAAAN!!1 And I'm not even high or luded.

Takes a lot to find a great clip that will work in 80x80. Gotta center it just so and you pretty much are restricted to clips where the cam is up close on a player(s) under the basket most the time. But I appreciate that you noticed, Kangy.

Great post. You are one of the MOST unknown fantastic posters at LG. This dude is an author w/ published works, folks. He's got a cool blog, too. Thanks for that, S. I actually consider it a privilege that you are an LG chum. There are a lot of us at about the same age range here, some of whom are represented in this thread. I suspect we're all old school psychos because we came up in the last years before the ol family computer became prevalent. Having to scrounge for Laker news was a B and anything that came before our time was mystifying. Sh, now pimple faced bratz can find obscure old clips at the tips of their fingers. And same goes with porn, but that's another story.

Senior year of high school, New Year's Eve party at some girl's house (her dad was there, which I always found odd) and as the festivities got rolling a rumor swirled in the upstairs area that a porno tape was on down in the basement. And indeed it was. Someone had magically procured one. This is in a town of 2,000 (though the party was on a farm) so someone had driven to the town 15 miles away and the lone video store, wandered into the walled-off section and came out with the goods. It was like an event. Same way it was when I secured copies of Drive for Five, Return to Glory and Back to Back tapes.

Hand-applied and gilt illuminations as seen in old incunables. Vellum pages if not actual parchment (animal skin). If I had my druthers, this book would look like the Blue Qur'an (pointing to C M B's original reference to the Holy Qur'an). AND I RAAAN...for a Blue Qur'aaaaannn... The Blue Qur'an had blue dyed pages with gilt writing. Single leafs of said Qur'an sell for hundreds of thousands. I dunno if Kufic calligraphy would be the best choice, but...

The mystical black curtain room. You can bet your life that our dudes The Mule, angrypup, Jodeke, The Baron, Omar, Larry and anyone else whose face shows a more refined age and wisdom has "penetrated" the black curtain at least one time in their past lives during the VHS vs Betamax Wars. Elder spokesmen...Gen X salutes you!
