Wow. Hadn’t checked into this thread for a couple of days.

Wilt so sorry to hear. Scary. Stay strong. Much love to you and your family.

Larry, damn. Hopefully, it stays mild and everyone gets over it quickly!!! Sounds like it’s manageable so far.

Who do you think goes in first? Or do you think it's simultaneous? I have Larry, tbh. He's a distinguished, debonair man with panache and a firm grasp of CBA codicils. It's gotta be him. Everyone swoons in his presence.

Update: My wife & I are pretty close to recovery, but my daughter had an Emergency Department visit this morning with chest tightness. She's all clear now -- O2 sats were good, no EKG abnormalities, and an X-ray didn't show anything in her lungs. Still, it's something you never want to see your kid go through...

And as for who moves in first, there's a reason people are required to genuflect in my presence.

Larry, glad you all are okay but it must be hard to watch your daughter lag behind. It also puts context to the assurances that this doesn't affect younger people "as much" as if it's nothing to worry about. When it's your kid that's affected, it's no trivial matter. Glad she's doing better.

That statement conjures many optics. Some explicit. Praying for you and yours to be well. 🙏🏾

No, and I am sorry you had to experience it, but glad to hear she sounds like she's coming through on the other side without any lasting residual health issues.

I'm eligible to be vaccinated by the VA. I don't trust the VA. I have friends who've gotten medical care through VA. The stories I hear from them are not good. I'll wait until Kaiser has the vaccine.

A vaccine shot is the same whether you get it at the VA, Kaiser or your local pharmacy. No difference for this particular procedure. You should get it as soon as possible. There is no good reason to wait.

"Care" through the VA is completely different than getting a quick shot of the vaccine. There is no reason to conflate the two and potentially cause yourself unintended harm by waiting.

I hear ya CL. I just don't feel comfortable using VA medical. I'm gonna wait on Kaiser.

I follow CDC recommendations. I stay at home most days. On the few occasions I venture into the public I'm very careful. I keep 10 feet social distancing, wear a mask, and gloves that I discard in the trash outside of my apartment. I don't change clothes, that may be the one area where I'm deficient.

Gonna indulge in my past time today. Gonna make a sweet potato pie.

Larry, glad you all are okay but it must be hard to watch your daughter lag behind. It also puts context to the assurances that this doesn't affect younger people "as much" as if it's nothing to worry about. When it's your kid that's affected, it's no trivial matter. Glad she's doing better.

Thanks! Oh, and now my wife is pissed because they wouldn't give a scrip for the drug she wanted her to have....

Just curious what she was asking for. I keep hearing stories of needing to ask and ask and ask for certain things before they decide to finally give it to you.

We just topped 3,000 daily deaths. We are approaching dark day ahead.

Please protect yourself and each other until the vaccine comes. Your patriotic duty is to do the least you can to expose the fewest workers who must work. Be responsible and extra cautious now

I urge everyone, when it is your turn, get vaccinated. It's about saving your life, the life of your family members, and your community.

As of this morning there were 54 ICU beds in all of LA county—half are pediatric

A sign of what’s to come: last night there wasn’t a single bed for 30 people at LAC-USC hospital. Ambulances turned away for 12 hours. Wait time for an ICU bed: 18 hours

I think you meant 19% for LA County?
