The new look Pels are much more enjoyable to watch. Even though Miami burned them, SVG has them headed in the right direction. The offense is more sophisticated, and they aren't shooting nonsensical threes nearly every time down the floor like they used to with Gentry, which made him unwatchable to me. The awesome benefit of running more half-court sets is that BI and Zion get to shine and create more opportunities for others.

I know they have completely different squad and a new coach, but I think they'll be legit good 30-35 games into the season. Not quite contender level due to lack of depth and defense, but likely 7-9th seed. BI is on that star to superstar border once he fixes his handles and defense. Zion is Zion. Adams is criminally underrated as a big and screener.

Jury is still out on whether Bledsoe can be that 3rd option. He's turning it over way too much, and his fit on the team is questionable with Zo as the primary distributer. Will be interesting to see what role he takes on. They'll need him to score and playmake when defenses narrow in on Zion and BI.

I'm super excited to see Zo, BI and Hart with a solid coach. SVG is textbook on offense and defense, and plays to the strengths of the team (BI-Zion inside-out game), while Gentry and Luke ran gimmicky, "ShoOt iF yOuR oPeN" offenses. Old habits die hard.

Clips-nuggs jersey is such a nice contrast, metallic blue vs cinnamon red, ice vs fire

Bi is a superstar in the making. That damn boy is a baller. Looks bigger this year too. Not sure if it’s just me but man has he improved. The offense is non existent tho when he sits unfortunately. They need a legit backup wing and big. Melli/hayes aren’t there and Hart is too small for the three. But damn if that dude doesn’t bring it every night.

Very early but it looks like Denver definitely got worse this year.

He will always be better than Zion.

Yep Ingram deserves major props, kid has turned out to be a big time scorer, someone that will likely be a perennial all-star. Good for him. You saw with DLO once he made the all-star team, he never really made it a yearly habit to get there. And get better. With BI, you get the feeling he will. Good for him, man. No hate for anyone who got us AD and a championship.

On the Pels, I think Van Gundy is a guy that will wear on guys after a while. But his teams do initially do better. I would be shocked if the Pels miss the playoffs. But I think once they reach that level, they will replace SVG at some point as his teams tend to get sick of his voice pretty quick. Not saying that is what Ingram will do individually, but certainly the roster on a whole.

This Atlanta Hawks/Memphis Grizzlies game that I randomly have on while I do some housecleaning is surprisingly enjoyable. They have some nice players.

How is 62-18 possible?! I’m not watching the game I just saw a tweet from Lakers film room and looked at the score. What are the Clippers doing?

Brandon Ingram is the first #Pelicans player with 80 pts, 20 reb and 20 ast through the team’s first 3 games of a season, per ESPN Stats & Info

We were right all along SD, that boy is dangerous! Definitely an all-nba caliber player. Amazing how that isn’t a controversial take anymore.

He made the team as a replacement in 2018-19 season in the East, so he was already a bubble all-star. Last season he played for a woefully bad Warrior team and then a bad Timberwolves team and had to compete with Harden, Russ, Lillard, Booker, Mitchell, CP3 to get any all-star accolades. So I think you're off the mark here--he is a notch below those guys, at a minimum and never had a chance.

Hell, this season he'd also have to beat out Steph, McCollum, and Murray too (probably Morant too). I don't think it is a matter of habits or getting better, it's a matter of tapped out his talent. On a bad team as a 1st or 2nd option he's a high volume, low efficiency low-20ppg scorer, and on an equal opportunity offense like Minnesota (top four guys are all 14-15 FGA per), he's a 15ppg guy. In the grand scheme of things, beyond the ridiculous expectations fans place on GMs high draft picks, DLO is a legit NBA player who will have a long, but probably forgettable career and won't ever sniff another all-star game no matter how hard he tries.

Interesting seeing fans in the stands at the Detroit pistons arena.

Edit - complete with the dance squad wearing masks performing for the handful of people that are in attendance. This is all very odd.

The Bucks tied the NBA record of most threes in a game... and they still have 8 minutes left in the 4th.

The uptick in massacre blowouts is fascinating.

Clippers lost by 51.
Celtics lost by 29.
Warriors lost by 39.
Wolves lost by 36.
Heat lost by 47.
Pelicans about to lose by about 30.

I'm pulling it out of my ass but maybe it's because of the quick turnaround and condensed schedule? Maybe once teams are down say 20, they just mail it in and don't go balls to the wall to attempt a comeback since it might not be worth it in the long run?

Mavs are getting beaten down by 29 points at the end of the 3rd to Charlotte. You're onto something Ocho.

Brooklyn nets are fun to watch.
I was worried they could maybe beat us in the finals.
Then Dinwiddie went down.

They can still beat us, but, of course, i am picking the Lakers over any team. However, when you have two of the best tough shot makers in the world, the defense played on them does not really matter (and the Lakers defense has not looked as good as last year).

KCP would have his hands full guarding Irving.

I saw him switch hands in midair with Lamelo guarding him fairly well and finish with his left on the right side of the basket. Ridiculous:
