Wouldn't mind the Lakers moving on from Cakotz and Kostas* next summer.

*If Giannis isn't a Laker

Lakers win!

87-81

Ugly offense, nice d effort

Tht is player of the game 19 points 9 boards 4 assists. Was 1-7 first half, 5-10 in second. Possible chucker concerns for me but kid showing some talent

Trez and ds shaking off rust

Clippers played their stars about 10-15 minutes each. Lakers sat theirs and their bigs (ad and gasol) and basically almost every other returning vet (eg kcp and kieff didnt play). This did reflect in rebound totals as clippers outrebounded lakers 55-46.

Nice preseason win over the LA scrubs.

You forgot his 3 stls though. Kid is also active in the defensive end, that's why even though he bricked most of his shots, he still had a good overall game.

THT was really impressive - how do we find him mins? He has some playmaking ability and a nice handle AND slashing ability, he gets a jumper look out

Kuz really frustrates me, he can put out good D, make nice lobs, but then he'll look totally lost on offense at times and seem on the edge of a turnover for a big part of his playing time.

The problem is that he can't create his own shot. I see no use for him. He should be killing right now in his 4th year.

I would dump him for some player that has some value sometime this season.

Another problem is that he’s a 27th pick.

Lakers fans expect him to play like a top 5 pick after his nice rookie season.

No Laker fans just expect him to get better each year like Ingram did.

Kuz doesn't have the greatest handles and he can't create his own shot or take it to the rim on a consistent basis. Add to the fact that he is not a consistent three point shooter does earn him an extension in my eyes. I would move him out sometime this year.

Lakers fans must be wearing blinders cuz most of what they see is only his shooting down.

Other than shooting, everything else with Kuz has improved from playmaking to defense.

But no worries, you’re right in that Kuz will likely be gone. Lakers will eventually move Kuz.

Never seen so much dislike on a Laker since D’Angelo Russell in 2016.

Definitely a few more passes he could have made, but I want my young guys to be aggressive and then we can reel them in later. I think a lack of aggression is actually a bad, bad sign for a prospect. THT was giving some very good defenders issues tonight with that handle and I think he just wanted to bust some shots in their faces after he had some of them spinning and tripping (looking at you PG and Kawhi).

Good point DB - I just realized I'm actually being tougher on the guy than I should. Before I came back to the board I was thinking about the game and actually found myself thinking about some of his good plays - he stands out as he ultimately contributed in different ways. He could very well be a diamond in the rough.

Even if it is preseason and doesn't matter, and even if a lot of our team sat this one out, still good to know the Lakers beat the Clippers again. Always good in any circumstance.

+1

I'm thrilled that one of our developing players has the ability to penetrate and finish...and still play D. Aggression is a good indicator of confidence.

Not exactly a highly entertaining contest but wanted to see the new guys and how they played. Really couldn't form an opinion on the matter because the game was blah! THT didn't surprise me, not to say I wasn't impressed, but if you follow this team you know they have been talking this kid up for quite some time now lol.

Aside from that, weird and good to see basketball back. The highlight of my night was hearing that Clippers announcer state they may have to watch the Lakers ring ceremony but next year they (Lakers) will have to watch the Clippers

While I don’t disagree with you. I do find it interesting that on Lakers.com (NBA.com/Lakers) under Team > Roster & Coaches, the Lakers/NBA spell his name “Schroder”

Yeah I don’t understand why media keeps leaving out the umlaut.
