Interesting change in the gender and "race" shift from 2016 to 2020

Quote:
Biden underperformed Hillary Clinton among voters of color.

Compared to Hillery, Biden was down:

9 points with black women

9 points with black men

5 points with Latina women

7 points with Latino men

On the other hand, Biden improved by 8 points with white men and 2 two points with white women over Hillary.

So then white people saved us from Trump reelection, mainly white men?

I think you can say misogyny was neutralized among white men and some white women with Biden at the head of the ticket. That's not exactly something to aspire to or to give credit for.

The 80 million who saved this country were predominantly a coalition of people of color and educated white people.

But please let us all not give white people extra credit over people of color. That's simply wrong. In terms of sheer numbers, black women still make up the majority of the Democratic base.

Also, these numbers were based on exit polls the day of the election. However, a large part of the Democratic base, especially people of color, voted by mail (and drop boxes and early voting). I don't see how those people would have been included in election day exit polling (which traditionally takes place in person outside polling stations). I'd find some other numbers before I jump to solid conclusions.

It is usually reserved for ceremonial signings when a group gathers together for the photo op.

There's a picture of Barack using that desk at a signing w/ kids standing to his sides. That's probably its use for a normal president, to be small so kids can stand there for a photo op when it's some legislation that helps kids.

Yep. And addressing the press is usually done, you know, in the Press Room.

I'd just say that turnout isn't factored into any of these "points". Which is deceiving. In certain cases high turnout is more important than the points.

Also, where the votes are from matter so much too. If AA points (or turnout) in swing states are up. But overall AA points (or turnout) is down because of non-swing states. That's fine. CA is going blue whether AA's vote Dem at 90% or 80%. Or whether millions of AA's show up or not.

Very true! They shouldn't vote. That'll show the rigged system!

Yeah, those exit poll numbers don't make much sense, even if they claim that they interviewed same day voters and polled early/mail-in voters. If I didn't know the actual popular vote numbers from 2020 but was told those exit polls, I'd have guessed that the election was extremely close, closer than 2016. Those gains by Biden among whites (even taking into account that they are the largest demographic) would have been canceled out by the significant losses among non-whites. But Biden will end up winning the popular vote by 7 million!

They'll have to come up with new ways to do exit polls, just like they have to fix the polling mistakes.

Some of the signs the Trump lawsuits (against election fraud) are for show: he's busier playing golf, sitting at little desks, and Tweeting...than actually producing credible evidence to support his claims.

We can only hope they realize just how rigged it is against Trump in Georgia. I mean, Loeffler and Perdue?! What are they doing to help Trump win the state! If we were them, we would write-in our votes for Trump, rite?! We advise our fellow concerned Trumpsters to do the same.

These Georgia runoffs have really made me wonder about the details of campaign law.
Could a club or group fundraise and pay the expenses for 100 campaign workers to live (and register to vote) in Georgia? Is that legal? What about 1000 campaign workers? What if they each only work 20 minutes on the campaign as a cover and really they are just there to vote? Is that legal?

What about if a group hired actors to pretend to be small town Georgians.
And they convinced actual small town Georgians to not vote, "because the system is rigged" and "Dominion voting machines". etc. Is that legal?

Seriously, though, to really check if the GA system is rigged, they need to write in Trump. Then see if those votes are not counted for Trump. That’s the best way to both protest and provide some evidence of a rigged election. This needs to be the plan. I bet if you ask Trump he will say you should vote for him, too.

YES -- the balloting system in Georgia lets you save time at the ballots by skipping the candidates' names (who can remember who's who anyway? It's not like anybody's ever actually heard of any of these people...) and just writing "MAGA" on the line that says "Write-in."

PLEASE tell all your republican friends in Georgia to use this short-cut!

People are telling me a lot of MAGA supporters are doing this to show their true support for our great president. Only losers and haters won’t be. Don’t be a sheeple and vote the way they want you to. Use the write in candidate to show your support for Trump!
