Who was the media guy that said there might be a Impact player that might take less money to play for a winner? It’s possible Ibaka is that guy even though the Raptors are a contender in the East, Ibaka can build his legacy as a Laker. |

Not with the off court issue. |
Not worth losing an asset. I don’t think he can crack our playoff rotation too. I rather give more minutes to Caruso and THT then lose an asset for someone like Waiters can do for the minimum. |
If you think Waiters can do what DRose does I don't know what to tell you. He's 10x more talented as it currently stands
This is coming from someone that doesn't want DRose on the team if LeBron and Rondo are still on it |
Even if 10 times more talented , Rose will not have the green light to utilize all his talents over here. We have 5 guards rotating on 96 minutes and that not even including THT. Vogel system utilized both Lebron and AD for the whole game. So what our team need is players that fit both of them which are clearly 3 and D archetype. So the only role available is that annual Rondo injury which pretty much what Waiters did on the bubble averaging 12 ppg.
I rather have Caruso playing more minutes and making him a lead playmaker even with Lebron as they clearly can play that 2 man game. And give more minutes to THT.
Rose was not a good fit with Lebron. That’s at least 32 -36 minutes and he will not be a good fit with Rondo who’s gonna play at least 10-15 minutes because of his AD pick and roll.
The best role for Rose is to become that assassin and because of the makeup of our team, he will have only few opportunities .
Comes playoff, he will he buttshifting in the bench unless Rondo gets injured and he created some sort of chemistry with AD.
That’s too many IFs. |
Like I said, I only want Rose IF Rondo leaves. If Rondo leaves, that leaves us with only one true ball-handler. I really Caruso can't play that role in the playoffs, no matter what anyone says, he's without a doubt a two guard
If Rondo leaves and Rose comes, that gives us someone that can give us 20-26 minutes in the regular season, and playoffs, of really solid isolation scoring and distribution. He'd be as good a true substitute for Bron as he's had in his career IMO (bar Rondo)
The problem with Rose is that he can't play off the ball, no matter what. It's why I say, if Rondo stays, I'd much prefer to chase Schroder, as he's much more competent playing off the ball whilst still being able to play as a playmaker if need be. There's no need for Rose to be here if Rondo is still on the roster _________________ #18 next... |

I don’t blame the FAs for breaking the rules, the timetable between now and the start of the season is really really weird, I’m sure the NBA will let these guys off the hook. |

Agents always break the rules and talk with teams before the official negotiation period. Everyone knows that. As long as you don't get caught, it's fine. |

This might be agents, it might also be players agreeing to deals because of the short window of the off season. |

Nothing really groundbreaking regarding Laker news to be honest.
Zach Lowe predictions:
AD - opts out, resigns on a 2+1 which will allow him to opt out and sign the 10 year megamax
KCP - opts out, resigns for $12m
AB - opts in
Javale - opts in
Rondo - opts out (opted out already)
Bobby Marks comments on it:
Thinks AD goes for a 1+1.
Thinks KCP will want Danny Green money
Thinks Rondo opts out, wonders if Lakers will want to commit 2 years to him since to use early bird rights, the Lakers have to sign him to 2 years (Zach Lowe responds - "If Lebron says so, then yes")
Talks about the luxury tax implications between $139m vs $132m that we've been talking about here and if that big mid level will be available to the Lakers. |

Each player caught doing so should be banned for life.
And the GM should be fired and never allowed to work on an NBA team again. _________________ 💜💛 🏆 👀 🍖 #18!!! |

AD would be better served to sign a 2-1. His salary will be tied to the salary cap and it could be back to normal by 2020. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

NOP are matching any Ingram offer lol
Their Zion/Ingram core is going to be real solid if they can surround it with some real complementary pieces in the next few years. Jrue is the right idea, but is probably too old for the timeline. They probably need to trade Holiday and hit 2021 FA hard (not for superstars, but for surrounding players) _________________ #18 next... |

People have bought up Lonzo as a possibility but Josh Hart can also be a potential target, I’m sure he would be okay coming back and he would be a solid KCP replacement. |

Also more likely to get Hart because Lonzo will be bringing his crazy dad with him back to the Lakers. |

I’d be on board with Ibaka replacing Howard
Could use his spacing. He’s still a big dude and athletic enough
It’d def make the lakers more dynamic offensively whilst still maintaining their defensive punch. He’s also an ok passer |

28, mcgee for Lonzo
would be my plan. |

Don't like it
Lonzo and Spencer aren't good fits here. There's no way I'm welcoming the LaVar show back, either _________________ #18 next... |

Make that contract as arduous and painful for Gayle Benson to match (similar to the Porter/Wizards deal) where half the money is due at the start of the season, player-options to make him unrestricted in a couple years in a healthier cap environment, etc. What does the team that makes the offer get for their trouble, assuming NOP is able to pony up? I dunno, his agent gives them preferential treatment for a while...
Don't do the Pelicans any favors and concede to some Jaylen Brown discounts, is all I'm saying, BI. _________________ Lakers Picks The Next Six Years:
