Just to give some perspective on this Covid world. I had to fly today. I’m sitting in one of the busiest airports in the world in a multi-gate waiting area that covers 8 different gates. There are 16 people here in an area the size of a small convention space. Half of those people work at the airport. I’d post a photo if I could, maybe later, because it has to be seen to be believed. Truly surreal.

Kind of like Will Smith in I Am Legend?

Pretty much. Crazy thing is, the safety officers for the studio my wife is working with at the moment pretty much have forbidden her from flying. Not because of being on a plane, but because of being in airports. This place is the safest, most socially distanced place I have seen in months.

Still empty? Which airport? I haven't been to an airport all year.

I was at LAX. The whole airport was like a ghost town. No traffic in the circle. Security checkpoint had no one in line.

This is a tragic story as told by a conservative who bought into the right-wing meme.

He called it a 'scamdemic.' Then his family fell ill, one by one.

Quote:
My father-in-law's probably my best friend.

Quote:
He was on supplemental oxygen, but the doctors kept reducing the amount he was getting. They thought he was getting better. . . . I hung up, and a few hours later I got a call from my mother-in-law. She was hysterical. She could barely speak. She said one of his lungs had collapsed and the other was filling with fluid. They put him on a ventilator, and he lay there on life support for six or seven weeks. There was never any goodbye. He was just gone. It's like the world swallowed him up. We could only have 10 people at the funeral, and I didn't make that list.

I'm so happy that people are taking this seriously. From Mike Lee showing up to the Senate judiciary meeting without a mask (recently tested positive) to Graham refusing to take a test before attending the meeting to the idiots at Staples center last night. Yup. Just about have this thing beat. Confidence is high.

Nope its just human nature that the longer you keep people confined in their homes that they will eventually just end up ignoring those orders. And there weren't just people partying around Staples Center yesterday, there were marches where thousands of people showed up in areas around LA about the Armenia situation.

Just observation from what I'm seeing on TV. And since humans are social creatures its hard to see social distancing being here for the long term since there are many events that could break that type of behavior.

Covid will weed out the weak, stupid, and selfish.

It's too bad some of us will have to die, too.

Part of it is our social nature for sure. But part of it is that we are a nation of entitled Karen’s.

I'm pretty sure most of us have moved past the hermit stage of lockdown. We are social creatures, of course. However, that doesn't mean throwing self preservation out the window.

Looks like a third wave is starting.

Cases, hospitalizations are up. Deaths will come in two weeks.

This is a tragic story as told by a conservative who bought into the right-wing meme.

He called it a 'scamdemic.' Then his family fell ill, one by one.

Its insane how many failures of empathy we have in this country. People really can't care about a pandemic until it happens to them? What has happened to this country.

My girlfriend(shes a nurse) and I ordered postmates from this restaurants and now we're both sick. I'm getting tested this weekend. Needless to say I'm (bleep) furious. It would've been (bleep) nice of postmates or the restaurant to post warnings on their page that they ban masks even for the employees. What the (bleep) kind of (bleep) do this? Are there any legal steps I can take regarding this?

Here is the restaurant in question.

First, I hope this is not Covid, and second, your problem is going to be proving where you contracted this if you are positive. If you test positive, I would contact the authorities, and I don't know which is the most appropriate, so I would contact everyone from the governor's office on down, and hope the contact tracing will reveal the source of your illness.

Keep us informed.

If they operate with such a poor view on public health then that probably isn't the only unsanitary thing they do. You might be dealing with food poisoning, but let us know, and let their reviews know too. They shouldn't be so reckless
