More news: now two Titans players have tested positive, a Raider has tested positive, and there's a picture here of Gilmore and Patrick Mahomes meeting face-to-face right after the game Monday. Uh oh.

They need to pause the season. This is going to get out of control. |

I was surprised the Chiefs played the Patriots so quickly for that reason. I expected other players to test positive. |

I thought it was stupid and irresponsible for the NFL to have that Patriots-Chiefs game on Monday night. We all know there's an incubation period for Covid-19. Goodell's hypocrisy reigns supreme, from his vague guidelines and witch hunts for any team that has an outbreak. I'm sure the owners saved a few sawbucks by not protecting these teams within one or more bubbles. The upshot is that Goodell jeopardized the health of players on two contending teams. |

Patriots all virtual today. Closed facility. Some players who have not yet tested positive are feeling under the weather and would have had to stay home anyway. |

As I said, all you need are a few convention cities (eight, one for each conference division or four to simplify the logistics) which by necessity have a large number of hotels. Almost every major convention city has a professional football team, in addition to several college football fields. Television revenues drive this league, so the loss of ticket revenue shouldn't be a big deal, especially at this point in the pandemic.
Take two weeks off to work out the logistics, and resume the season. |

Why? Its about money nothing more so this fake virtue signaling from these pundits talking about how players etc are so irresponsible yet ignore the NFL's role in all of htis.
The general public isn't as stupid as the mediots want to believe we are. |

The officiating was awful tonight, but Tampa Bay lost because of their offensive line. The first half the OL was pretty good, opening some very nice holes for RoJo. The second half was a disaster, Brady was getting clobbered at one point on almost every snap, while the OL was picking up penalties for poor execution and poor discipline. |

The Bears have Nick Foles doing a Brian Hoyer impersonation and are 4-1. |

That game had perhaps the worst officiating I've seen in the NFL. This isn't a case like the Rams-New Orleans NFC championship game, where the game might pivot around a single bad call; this was a game where bad calls came in succession after almost every snap. Normally you expect the home team to have the better calls, psychologists have even attributed this to the referees being influenced by the fans. But how are refs influenced by fake crowd noise?
But good teams play through bad calls. The Bucs were exposed last night as a bad team. The OL played well the first half despite some brain dead false starts. They opened between the tackles holes for RoJo with the best zone blocking that I've seen out of them this season, and the pockets for the most part were well-formed. The second half was the opposite, the Chicago defense smothered Brady and RoJo, there were in the backfield after almost every snap. Tampa Bay had a couple of long drives die because of brain dead penalties, and even one instance where their Center Jensen decided that a whistle meant time to start a fight. That OL destroyed the running game, and it destroyed that passing rhythm. If anything the OL needed to be extra good last night since as the primary receiving options on the Bucs are either injured or noticeably hobbled.
That loss is on Arians and on his OL coach. Right now they're a bad team pretending to be something better than they really are. And to add insult, they probably lost Vita Vea, the very cornerstone of their defense for the season. |

It's a good thing KC has Mahomes, they score almost at will. Their defense is porous. The Raiders are shredding it. 24 21 LV 2:39 2nd qrt _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Let's see how Smith does after the horrific leg injury. It's been what, a year and a half since he's played? _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Michael Thomas out for tomorrow night not due to injury, but because of an altercation during practice where he punched teammate Chauncey Gardner-Johnson. A team disciplinary suspension, essentially.
At least he'll be fresh after their bye next week lol. |

The business side of the NFL: The injury risk that Dak Prescott accepted when rejecting multi-year offers to play on the one-year franchise tag becomes an untimely reality. He was having a record-setting season. |

That Andy Dalton signing looks like a genius backup plan in retrospect.
What if he makes the Cowboys better? |

Well we'll find out soon enough I'm sure many thought this of Nick Foles, Tom Brady etc. |
