That dirty play by Crowder trying to injure LeBron need to not go unanswered before this series is over.

Needs a D-Fish knocking Scola on his ass type of response.

I'm all for boring as long as #17 awaits.

+1 Catch dem damn Celtics. In my mind we already have 17 so this is icing.

You aren't suppose to post on the game thread jodeke...its all good we won anyway

Still don't post during the game. Post before and after. Cep'tin ones like this. I posted Chicky Babe's refrigerator early.

As long as he doesnt try to rip lbjs arm off

I was hoping for Iguadala or Jae Crowder to be in a Lakers uniform to help against Kawhi in the WCF.

Hopefully next year, it's Crowder or Harkless. Iggy is toast.

Ok Kuz, you know what to do (Crowder, not Herro!)

I don't think this is going to be much of a series. Dragic and Adebayo, Miami's best players, are hurt. They don't have anything left. The Heat may not win a game.

Looks like Dragic is done for the year, but we'll see.

Bam and Butler will play.

Game 2 is Mamba Jersey Day so...as long as we keep our foot on the gas we'll be doing what great teams do...play against their previous performance.

Me thinks LBJ wants out of the bubble with the championship as quickly as possible.

If Miami goes down 2-0 with key guys hurt...that's all she wrote imo.

Was watching highlights.... is it just me or does it seem like having AD and Dwight in the post seems like we put in a cheat code or used Team Edit to give the Lakers the best big men?

I looked back through the game thread. Posters were complaining about allowing the Heat to get back into the game. They wanted the Lakers to embarrass them.

I don't think that would be a good idea. Embarrassing them would fuel them, make them fight their asses off. Doing what Vogel did was OK. He probably felt it was a lock. Mike gave his players a taste of playoff time on the hardwood. Memories, something to feel good about. He didn't let the game get out of hand.

I'm looking for another big lead and coast to the finish line.

The Heat fanbase seems to be sold that he'll be back in there playing, but even if he's in there, how effective will he even be?

There are sweeps in NBA Finals and this just happens to be one of those. It happens. We'll take it.

But honestly, do people really think a healthy Heat team would have a chance against a healthy Laker team? I mean it's 0 percent now but it would have been like maybe 5% if fully healthy?

Too bad about the Heat's injuries. Every cloud. This one's #17 for the Lakers.

I have a hard time believing Goran can go. I think Bam will try, but limited.

Same.

When the trainer says nope to you playing in the second half, that's it with a foot injury.

Bam will try to soldier through but I'd hold him out of game 2 and pray for a miracle night of shooting from Herro, Robinson, and Nunn...problem is there is no miracle in the history of miracles for them on defense.

I know I am late to the party but I didn't expect that type of effort after being down 13. I absolutely loved the attention to detail, they actually looked locked in and if they are, this is a quick series.

It is in a way a Cheat code, but legitimately obtained.

Dwight can still play tremendous defense. If he played 30+ minutes a night he would likely average a double double. He is a very aggressive rebounder. He is a former all nba defensive player and 3 time winner of the DPOY award. He is still in good shape, and since he isnt asked to guard guys 20 feet all the time that DPOY skill and knowledge is still there.

Then there's AD. No offense, he shoulda been DPOY this year with how he has helped change the dynamic of this team.

Now, go look back - how many teams can say their front line big men have a former DPOY and a guy who currently was runner up for that? Not many, and possibly extremely few.

That is a HUGE advantage that some overlooked in analyzing this matchup. Lakers just have a size and length advantage, combined with athleticism, that does not really get spoke about. BTW...this includes Javale. He has not played great of late but look, he is a guy that can protect the rim and run the floor.

If the Heat hope to beat the Lakers with the same approach they had vs the Celtics, it will likely not end well for them.

Unless he’s more dangerous than Harden or Lillard I don’t think it will be an issue. Number 17 here we come!

LeBron will be responsible for us finally getting #17. Then here comes the LeBron vs Kobe conversation.

I don't know if there are any like me. I think we already have 17.

Bron has 1 maybe 2 top-line years left. I think we may win another chip with him.

AD may develop leadership skills. If he does we'll be in good hands for a while.

The team wants to get out of the bubble. They're gonna put the pedal to the medal and pack for home. LINK
