I never saw those two groups in concert, but I bought their records and listened to them on the radio.

Come on mang! Arnold's career from 1990 and on was money.

Total Recall to Kindergarten Cop to Terminator 2 to Last Action Hero to True Lies to the Eraser to Batman and Robin to End of Days. We'll have to agree to forget Junior exists though because stinker wipes out all the good he did lol.

I had to check a few things to make sure they were not early 90's....but I did not pull anything from google. Just had the post open for much of the 4thQ of Lakers game and adding to it as I thought about things.

Three's Company was on at the time and I got that a lot, but like Jack, I was not going for either of my roommates, but they had lots of (girl) friends and living with two girls gave me some sort of instant credibility, I recall hanging out with members of TSOL, the Vandals and the Crowd as they were interested-in and/or dating one of my roommates...

Cool, I actually saw the Furs several times, once at the Whiskey (A Go-Go) and the other time they played two sets at Magic Mountain (I still have a P.Furs shirt from that show). Of course I saw them a few years back at the Disneyland House of Blues (Richards voice is still the same...lol).

Saw OMD at Perkins Palace in Pasadena, saw a ton of bands (I have listed) there, as it was local to KROQ and they wanted a venue close by I suppose, I had 3 row seats for the Jam there...

cheers!

It's about a notoriously dangerous thrill park that was hugely popular in the New York area in the '80's and it is real reminder of the mindset of us teens back then.

This reminds me of all the neighborhood parks they made kid safe these days. Back in the days they had equipment that would be considered huge safety hazards today. Something like a roundabout or jungle gym you don't see much of anymore.

Looking back at the antics the neighborhood kids got into, I'm surprised I made it out alive.

That's pretty much the theme of the doc.

Too state of the art for me. I had a Hayes 300 baud modem connected to my Apple II.

That Micromodem II was one of the earliest Hayes modems that set the standard. One box with phone jacks took the place of those acoustic couplers. Some of my classmates would actually write their own BBS’s with it at the time. Too bad once the 9600, 14.4K, 56K modems came up, the competition put Hayes out to pasture.
