I’m actually blaming this loss on the announcers. Just like in the good old days when we had Sunderland

I’d blame Stu but I doubt he even watched the game.

We are not winning this series. Lbj needs a good shooter with him. Ad is not the one. If u have bad 3 point shooting tean, LBaj cant do much. He is not kawhi who has automatic jumper. LbJ had a decent jumper in the past, once turned to point guard, he forgot that. He barely tried jump shot this season. He is Either attacking the rim or shoot a 3 pointer. Getting AD involved messed up his shooting

LeBron always plays more passive game 1 in every series. He’s been doing this his entire career. I expect him to look at film and be more aggressive. The bigger issue is AD and our bigs. If they don’t dominate the glass then Vogel will have to go small. It’s that simple. Dwight and McGee can’t keep getting boxed out by 6’5 guys. I don’t care how much “heart” they have. Rondo should have a short stint every half.

To think that before this game some posters said Lakers have the better coach. LOL It will be a miracle if Lakers win the championship this season. Bad team, and selling the farm for AD was a big mistake too.

We all forgot the fact that Blazers were completely gassed out by the time they played us. Its not the case with houston.

Like I said almost a week off and incorporating Rondo back will mess up our rhythm. They went through this in the beginning when they came back from break with losing Bradley and incorporating Waiters and Smith into the line up.

One thing for sure we will not win this series if they shoot around 30% from 3... This is not Portland. Rox has way better role players and shooters.

Don't understand Rondo playing 25mins tonight. First game back.

Go figure long layoffs are ‘bad’ for us. Even though they did not show it a lot tonight these guys do take pride in the games after they have lost. I expect them to come out more focus on Sunday

Rockets were this close to losing to the Thunder. I thought we are a team of destiny? We were supposed to play the Thunder! Now, I think we are in a lot of trouble unless Vogel could pull off his adjustment magic again. In Frank I trust.

Can’t say I’m confident in this series.

Same as last series in terms of winning game 2, but it’s definitely more uncertain in terms of going down 2-0 imo.

Just feel like the Rockets were comfortable with this matchup. Doesn’t mean they will win, but it’s not as easy as the Lakers have a clear mismatch advantage against the Blazers type of feel.

We need to play great basketball on both ends to win this series. I dont see us doing that especially not with Rondo. Dont give rondo any minutes go with the best defensive lineup we have.

Jesus two idiotic takes in a row

Houston just played a playoff series that went to a final game.....

They are still in sync while the lakers had a break

I'm going to wait to watch all the pressers in detail until I get a nice sleep in so I don't cloud what they say with raw emotion.

I did not like this team's body language tonight. They didn't look gassed or worn down, they looked out played.

2 factors in this loss; the turnovers and the fouls they tried to call defense. Limit both and this is a different outcome.

I am not ready to jump ship but adjustments need to be made. How does Frank communicate with AD that the dude is HUGE and to take advantage of it. He let Tucker get in his head. I also expect some sort of communication with the team to make it a point to make sure the officials call fouls against the Rockets. Flail, act that (bleep) up, make it a fairly officiated game.

Anyone who thought this would be an easy series...I don’t know what they were watching.

The Lakers don’t shoot well and this is the battle of new NBA vs. old school NBA. Tbh it basically comes down to can LBJ and AD play like top 5 players and propel the Lakers into the WCF.

The rockets do not fear the Lakers shooting or big lineups.

I blame the offense more than the defense for this loss. Too often when LeBron or AD had the ball, everyone would just stand around and watch. Our offense was stagnant, and we settled for way too many 3s.

Let's wait to see how the Lakers play in Game 2 before we proclaim that they're not a championship team.

The issue going forward is...from this series on...our role players are severely less talented than the role players on the rockets, clippers and remaining East teams.

To offset that...we need Lebron and AD to significantly outplay the remaining teams top 2 players. Is that even realistic to expect? The top end talent on the Rockets and Clippers are no joke and are MVP caliber players themselves.

I believe Lebron and Ad can play better and could potentially outplay the tandem of harden/Russ and kawhi/pg but it will be close. Those guys are just that good. (Mostly because Lebron has declined a lot more over the last 2 years than people on here realize)

So what’s left? Hope our top guys significantly outplay other teams top guys or our role players collectively outplaying other teams role players?

Its easy to queation others. Have you even followed baskwtball lately? Blazers played entire seeding games as playoff games. Al their starters played crazy minutes every game. Not the case with rockets.

We got so little out of our role players this game, even in the way of rebounds. After a dream start, it all went down hill as soon as Harden drew his first BS 3pt foul.

Lebron and AD have to keep up the aggression throughout the game, especially late.
