We need to pound them in the paint, we had a +22 advantage there

LA in 6.

Gotta ride our hot hands when we got the advantage. Like Kuzma putting us up by 6 and then getting benched immediately right after

Minute restrictions are somewhat important I get it for max performance to close the game.
Lebron , AD and Kuz needs max minutes it’s the f’n playoffs! We’ve babysitted their minutes all season long and they just had another 4 month layoff before the bubble.

Go hard or go home.

AD played 39 and 41 for LBJ.

Kuzma only had 30.

Even worse,

Dame had 43 and CJ had 42 on bad back.

We got no excuses a few minutes makes a big difference especially during the playoffs.

Kuz will get roasted by CJ and then on switches with Lillard.[/quote]

And Danny Green isn’t?

Green is a charred piece of blackened BBQ chicken that has been left on the grill 32 minutes longer than necessary

3/12 from the field

2/8 from three

You think Kuz can’t be more efficient than that?

If we are sold on AD playing the 4 we have to start Dwight...

He is the best Center on our team and changes the complexion of the game...

He needs to stay engaged and not pick up ticky tack fouls

Problem with this is the Pelicans coach is Gentry and they had a high octane offense unlike the Lakers slow LBJ offense.

If we can just get the (bleep) out of our own way we will take the series. If we keep shooting like that? Not beating anyone.

For this reason, I remain optimistic. But we've been kind of saying this all year and the shooting just does not improve. Maybe KCP or Morris can pick it up. We should try running some plays for Kuz and AD to shoot as well. Game plan today seemed very poor from the get go.
dummy

Congratulations. I now know who you are. Behave accordingly.

Only game 1. No worries. Lillard made that 30 footer three and then we tried to double him way outside near mid court leaving other guys wide open and other guys made their threes.

I feel like we just let Lillard take his 30 footer threes. If he could make it consistently, then he deserve the win but we shouldn't try to guard him from out there leaving our defense so vulnerable.

If only KCP would make ONE, ONE (bleep) shot. I feel the loss today is all on him. Such hot garbage. Play Caruso on Lillard. Let Lillard take his 30 footers. Bench KCP. That's how we'd win!!
you sound dumb

Strike two

Blazers just want to keep it close and chuck threes at the end. Dame and McCollum just toss up crazy prayer jumpers, you need a cushion to weather that - can’t come out sloppy with the garbage green/KCP/McGee trio, we will see if Vogel has the balls to adjust.

It's not a prayer shot for Lillard. He practices those routinely.

On the other hand, James settling for a 35 footer with a couple mins left in a one possession game was disappointing

He can definitely make them when he's got it going but he's not going to make those 30-35 foot 3's every night at a high enough percentage to win. Lets see if he can do it 4 out of 7. I'll bet he can't. If you lose with a guy beating you on 30 foot shots then fine.

I'll bet he can make those at a higher clip than the Lakers normal 3pt attempts.

Which is why the Lakers need to stop shooting so many threes. The Blazers defense is terrible. AD should be living at the FT line.

Actually, he shoots better from 30 foot than he does from the three point line. He is 40+% from 30 feet. And he can definitely do it 4 out of 7. He's done it the whole bubble. They've won 5 straight with him shooting those shots. Those aren't prayers. They are practiced high percentage shots for him.

Blazers have the #1 defense in the 2020 NBA Playoffs.

Melo may be old but he will make open shots in an empty building all day long and that's all he has to do if you double Dame and CJ. Not to mention they can hit Nurk or Whiteside under the basket.

If KCP and DG are gonna combine for 11 pts in 53 minutes.. id really like to see Dion and JR getting minutes vs CJ and Dame .. plus stretch the floor a bit with outside shooting. They’re capable of providing both.

Portland started packing the paint realizing LA was shooting terribly from 3
