Come back and sit on the bench to start his assistant coaching career.

I think we will need him in spurts as another ball handler, particularly against a team like the clippers.

Save Lebron’s legs when Waiters and Rondo steal some ball handling minutes.

We're a better team with Caruso playing more and Waiters taking Rondo's minutes.

If Caruso can handle the ball against a team like the Clippers then yes. I think he’s better than earlier this season, probably getting some work in with Handy.

That will be one of the keys. Need about 15 minutes of ball handling or Lebron is going to run out of gas in those 4th quarters.

10 minutes when he sits and maybe another 5 minutes when he is in the game.

If there is a playoffs matchup with the clippers, they will play LBJ all 94 feet in the playoffs. I could see other teams doing it too.

There is simply no room in the rotation to squeeze in Rondo right now. Plus, he won't have any regular season games to tune up his game. You don't just drop in the middle of a playoff game and see what happens.

While Rondo is healing in Florida maybe someone could buy him a ticket for a 3 hour cruise.

We're shooting 25% from 3. Rondo's ballhandling is not what this team is missing. And i'm certainly not missing his defense or shooting.

Yeah, with Caruso and Waiters we're just fine with no Rondo especially once Lebron's minutes increase in the Playoffs. Last thing this team needs is an even worse shooter and matador defender pushed into the rotation. He should focus on being the MVP assistant coach at the end of the bench all Playoffs as long as we're healthy.

We're dead last in offensive rating out of all 22 teams in the bubble. Only team who can't even average 100 pts a game. Not saying all of that is Rondo. But at least some of it is.

I've heard Rondo will return for the playoffs. He's needed. He gets the bench going something that's now missing.

Ugh. Hopefully he starts his assistant coaching career. How do you go from being out 1.5+ months with no ramp up in play to being in the playoffs? Makes no sense at all.

James will not have the luxury of sitting for 10mpg.

Historically he averages 42mpg in the playoffs. With this team, this year, it can be argued he should exceed that.

Rest will come in retirement. He is sixteen games from reaching his goal.
Finish the job!

Hes not the worst back up point guard. Contributes a little under 20 points off the bench with assists/field goals and turns it over less than 2 times a game. When he gets hot and is given the minutes he's shown he can go for 20pts, there was a stretch during the season where he was shooting 35% from three. He needs to be on the floor with JR, Dion, Kuzma and AD. Caruso needs to start with LeBron even though he's not really a catch and shoot player.

Caruso has not looked good. KCP has gotten dinged up a couple of times. Dare I say we are LUCKY that we signed Waiters.

Spacing, organization, and quality of passing.

For example. https://streamable.com/wjgcw

Vogel is a defensive coach that needs an offensive brain on the floor, especially when LBJ sits. The fact that Hollins isn't in the bubble makes the problem twice as bad at least.
Everybody skips over the fact that LBJ vouches for Rondo offensively. Even when they are on the floor together. LBJ gets a break from playmaking and trusts Rondo. Not to mention the easy buckets Rondo creates for AD. The blind hatred for Rondo is funny.

I’m with you. They need him, as weird as it sounds.

We know he has his shortcomings but certain matchups he will be needed for those 10 minutes.
