As they said on the TNT broadcast, the D will be ahead of the O for most teams after the 4 months layoff. Clipps are just one of those bad matchups for LeBron, their length at PatBev get in his head... fortunately the King have them fits on D as well.

Only negative so far through 4 games against the Clippers is that LeBron has been held to less than 40% from the field, as they have a bunch of bodies they are able to throw at LeBron. Clippers have nobody that can guard AD, but the series will come down to if LeBron can hit his outside shots against the Clippers in a playoff series imo. If LeBron is hitting his shots from deep, Clippers or any team really in the league can beat the Lakers in a 7 game series, but if he's going to struggle come playoff time, it's going to be a long series against the Clippers.

I love the man, but imagine him embracing being a 37-year-old bald dude with a graying beard? What an icon he would be!

Not just Lebron, we need all our shooters to step up from deep. I saw a lot of 3's clanking last night.

Yeah in 4 games against the Clippers this year, team has shot only 30% from 3, so that has to improve. Team has shown they can play lockdown defense and win off of just playing elite defense, but if the team is hitting 3's, team is practically unbeatable on both ends of the floor.

Love it! He may be balding and graying but he shows up when he needs to.

Prime Lebron was a wall on defense. Dunno how often he can still bring it at 35 though

Vogel could make it easier on Lebron if he would get him to work off ball instead of forcing every action from high pick and roll, at times the Clippers had smaller guards on him - should be an immediate post up, or get him flashing off the ball catching it near the ft line or mid post, something other than letting the Clippers sit there and pack the paint watching him up top.

Not bad for being an old Mark Jackson.

With how well Kuz has played defense in the last 3 matchups against them now I actually think we have elite defense against there two best players. If we can have mostly Kuz (especially on Kawhi) or Lebron on those two along with AD at times I think we're fine, they will obviously still get theres as they are great players but it wont be easy which is all we can ask for. Out of the 4 best players between our teams AD is still by far the biggest mismatch.

Another thing I have not seen any of the media talk about is even though Lebron hasn't had great offensive outbursts scoring wise he has clearly been pushing the ball to AD to get him going and he can control the game as good or better then any other one player in the NBA which will become even more valuable in the Playoffs. The lack of on court leadership and chemistry shows mightily at times with the Clippers and not only in the games against the Lakers.

His defense has been absolutely incredible against the Clippers and also the Bucks when needed late which are clearly our biggest threats. Then you have the possible DPOY as your running mate. This last game against the Clips was ugly asf for the majority of it and almost had a Lakers, Celtics Finals feel to it but at the end of the day we not only came back but closed it out on the offensive and defensive ends. These are the kind of wins that brings a team closer and makes that confidence just a bit higher for the rest of the guys. I came away feeling even more confident now facing the Clippers in a 7 game series then I was before. Our entire roster just meshes very well together versus a bunch of guys that look good on paper.

Box score says 20/10. But he was nowhere near the best player on the court when he was playing. And the -20 +/- tells the story.

Lakers were up 80-78 just before LeBron got subbed out, 3 minutes later Lakers were down 83-90 before Vogel brought LeBron back in, by then it was already game over.

His scoring ability has declined a lot from even 2 years ago. Doesn’t finish around the rim as well and shooting horribly...compared to his Heat/Cavs days

I took some positives from this game - physically he was moving much better today I thought than against the Clips. Still had excellent man D, some mishaps off ball but overall we just need to see Lebron get into a rhythm again with his jumper and we saw some signs of that.

Stay healthy and keep building

His numbers are still really good this season, but he doesn't get to the line near as often.

Because he doesn’t drive to the basket with the same relentless purpose. Also why he is at career highs for 3pt attempts even though he is average at it.

James is an amazing player having an amazing year but he is all at the twilight of his career. He has the ability to pick and choose his efforts on offense and defense, just can’t consistently do it all game long as he did as a younger player.

Lakers rely on him so much the way the roster is constructed. He somehow has to find the energy and resolve for 16 more playoff games. The Toronto game shows how tough it is going to be.

He and Davis “must” play like the two superstars they are every game to win. James and Davis coasting or having bad nights isn’t going to work against the Western Conference gauntlet they have to work through. Going hope James can find that inner resolve and relentless player they need.

It’s hard to get in rhythm when you never get calls when you drive. Love AD but he is able to get soft calls. Not complaining because that’s points for us but it makes a big difference when seeing the ball go in. LeBron only ever goes to the line when a hard foul is made and refs are all but forced to call it. Also, Bron is looking to get everyone going too much and his rhythm is suffering. I’d like him to focus on building a rhythm for himself more first. This is where we actually do miss Rondo. There’s not a reliable passer on the team to help make easy plays for him. AD will be important in the playoffs but LeBron needs to play like the best player on either team every night.
