The replacement guys are just end-of-the-bench players who are there in case someone gets sick and sits out.
Bradley's minutes will likely just be distributed to the players who have already been here all year.
Rotations tighten during the playoffs, so you'll probably just see guys like Green get a few more minutes a game.
Basically, the Lakers will just treat Bradley (or anyone else who sits out) like a player lost to injury. You adjust. What other option is there? |

It really comes down to POA defense, more responsibility on Caruso and KCP.
Some matchups it won’t be a big deal...Utah or Denver for example. Against a team like Portland or Houston, it will be more challenging. |

That's why I like Shumpert as a tool to have for that reason. Can't shoot, but if you need a PG defender for 10 min or longer if one of those two go down he's the better fit. |

To state the obvious from a purely B-ball sense, that is the problem with Bradley not playing,
Somehow the Lakers need to fill his 24mpg. Somebody will be playing it.
What do they contribute? How does it change the dynamic of the team? Doubltful any replacement will have the same defensive energy or impact, so what does a replacement add?
This is not any different then when a end of season injury occurs during the playoffs in any other year. Lakers have plenty of historical examples with Kobe, Magic , Cooper or even Malone injuries derailing a playoff run.
If they have a season the Lakers will need to adjust. And we still have not heard how many others from other teams will choose not to play or show up with half assed effort because their hearts are not in it. Too many questions to be answered to have any definitive idea of who will fill mpg. |
Looks like we will be back into hoping Kuzma steps up. |

No doubt. An argument can be made for either.
1) More shooting with JR or 2) More defense with Shumpert. |

Despite the fact that he's one of the best all ball defenders in the NBA, I'm not overly worried about losing AB. It sucks but KCP in the starting 5 might be considered an upgrade. Lose some on D but gain a whole bunch on O.
.. it's losing KCP's punch off the bench the gives me pause. Kuz has been utterly inconsistent but below mediocre for what we expected and nobody else off the bench is really a scoring threat unless you consider Cook that. I mean, KCP is no Jason Terry either but he's at least consistent scoring off of an other wise weak scoring bench.
We really need Kuz to step up big time on offense and maintain the same level of D that we saw he tried to play with. But even with that, I think JR probably brings more value given his scoring abilities but perhaps if they feel good about Waiters scoring, then having Shumpert to throw on Kawhi or PG for stretches would be nice.
McGee (14), Dwight (18), AD (16)
AD (20), Morris (14), Kuzma (14)
LeBron (34), Kuzma (14)
Green (26), KCP (8), Caruso (8) Waiters/Shump/JR (6)
KCP (20), Caruso (12), Rondo (16)
I imagine rotation looks something like that until playoffs come and Vogel and staff re-assess the final playoff rotation. 13 guys playing until it gets cut down to 10 regulars |

^Good stuff, 2019.
Your reasoning for KCP offense off the bench is why I would start Caruso. He also fits the energy tone setting role AB was providing better than any other guard on the roster.
I would keep Lebron’s minutes below 34 for the 8 games, unless grandpa LBJ feels like he needs the minutes to ramp up for the 43+ minutes he will be playing once the tournament begins. |

The underdog in me wants Caruso to start, but KCP is very deserving as well. If we make KCP a starter, maybe he can give us consistent minutes before Caruso subs him out. I like Caruso and Kuz coming in and overwhelming the opposition’s second unit. Plus Caruso and Kuz’s defense has been so good as of late. They can hit the opposing starters with a second wave of solid defense. _________________ “You have to dance beautifully in the box that you are comfortable dancing in.” - Kobe Bryant |

JR was a Monster in Game 7 post Halftime. Without him The Land would still be empty. _________________ “You have to dance beautifully in the box that you are comfortable dancing in.” - Kobe Bryant |

Florida just seems like a poor choice for a bubble considering it has the most daily cases right now in the USA. Moving it to Nevada would probably be a wiser choice. |

I heard Vegas is also dealing with the rise in COVID cases, the best right now is to just ride it out in Florida, it’s very good that only 16 players out of 300 something players tested positive. |

I would jump on Trier. He is Lou Williams-esque.
Even if he isn’t part of the playoff rotation, good asset for the future. |

Could be. Keep in mind, Trier is a Klutch client.
Edit: just read that Trier is not playoff eligible. |

I haven't spoken on this here at all. While disappointed, I understand Avery's stance. Family and health come first. It will be a big blow because they need his defense in playoff series down the line but I know if they brought in Smith he would be motivated. Hate on JR all you want, dude is a streaky shooter and when he gets hot...he gets hot and LBJ knows that. He also is an underrated defender, he will take on the task of imitating Beverly and in a tussle with the 2, I got my money on JR. |

Before the pandemic both KCP and Caruso had been playing well enough to earn additional minutes, so this could clear more time for them with Waiters as a wildcard. _________________ Under New Management |
