|

Quote: | Los Angeles Lakers guard Avery Bradley has opted-out of playing in the NBA’s Orlando restart of the season, Bradley told ESPN on Tuesday night. |
Quote: | At forefront of Bradley’s decision to remain w/ his family is the well-being of the oldest of his 3 children. His 6-year old son has a history of struggling to recover from respiratory illnesses and would’ve been unlikely to be medically cleared to enter bubble with his family. |

Free Agents are still an option but I would bet on Rondo or Caruso starting. _________________ 14-5-3-12 |

I reckon it'd be KCP
Bron - Rondo
KCP - Caruso - Waiters
Green - Kuzma
Davis - Morris
McGee - Howard _________________ #18 next... |

Certainly an option. Would prefer it to Rondo. _________________ 14-5-3-12 |

That sucks.
I wonder if Waiters will get a chance to get PT during those 8 games. |

Not lie I’m curious if Waiters can get in the rotation now. |

Quote: | "As committed to my Lakers teammates and the organization as I am, I ultimately play basketball for my family. And so, at a time like this, I can't imagine making any decision that might put my family's health and well-being at even the slightest risk.
"As promised also, I will use this time away to focus on the formation of projects to help strengthen my communities."
Bradley has been a co-leader with Brooklyn's Kyrie Irving of a players coalition that has sought to have several issues centered on social justice and racial equality and empowerment addressed with the NBPA and NBA in the league's restart.
Bradley has been a key two-way player for the Lakers, who are the Western Conference's No. 1 seed heading into the 22-team restart in Orlando.
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope would be the likely candidate to replace Bradley in the starting lineup. The Lakers will be able to sign a replacement player for Bradley. |

Sucks for Lakers, but I obviously respect his decision. I hope he opts in and is back next season.
We always thought Caruso should get more minutes. We just wanted him to take Rondo's minutes not Avery's. Lakers could replace most of Avery's minutes with Caruso/KCP/Green playing more. I am sure Lakers will sign someone, but that person doesn't necessarily need to play.
Is Shumpert healthy? |

Going to come down to KCP or Caruso to start for Bradley now, which Vogel started KCP primarily when Bradley was hurt, so have to think it's going to be KCP. Crazy thing is that the X-Factor for the Lakers this postseason is going to be on Kuzma, KCP, & Caruso who all haven't had playoff experience imo. |

This isn’t a regular style playoffs. Not going to be the same nerves with no fans around as it would have been with fans. |

They're deep enough in the back court, I'd finalize Cousins. |

Sounds good to me. Probably the best candidate of all the free agents available |

What a bummer but at least we boost our offense with J.R. Smith. |

Playoff intensity defense, scheming, and shortened rotations are still going to be there even without fans. Opposing teams are going to force "the others" to beat the Lakers come playoff time, which Lakers take a hit since Bradley had a bunch of playoff experience, can guard both guard positions, and once Bradley was hitting shots the Lakers were almost unstoppable this season. |
