RENAMED: Got any good Job or Interview Stories?

I did, yesterday..

At my place place of employment, there are two job positions being converted from contract positions to a government positions. One of them is mine (which is great) but the other job came up for transition first, and while it is similar, it is somewhat different than my current one.

So I applied and got an interview, not really wanting it, but wanted to see the entire Gov. interview process (which is quite different from the "industry" process).

And while I figure I have an at least 70% change of getting it, I'd rather had my job and won't be able to apply if I get the first one...

Anyone have any similar or odd job-related stories?

Yeah, one time I applied for a job working for the RNC (Republican National Committee), and one of my interview questions was: "Even if you knew it was false, would you lie to the press in an interview so you could own the Libs....
I replied I would be truthful and they immediately ended the interview and said I wouldn't be the right fit.

Which is weird because I check all the Republican boxes like locking kids up in cages and giving tax breaks to the rich.

Not me but a friend of mine. He interviewed for an industrial hygienist position and was asked where he could see himself in 5 years. He said at the beach drinking a beer. He didn’t get the job.
