Don Shula, the winningest coach in pro football history, has died
May the undefeated season remain solely in the realm of the Dolphins.
Success is not forever and failure isn't fatal.

When you think Shula you have to think the 1972 Dolphins only team to win a Super Bowl and have a perfect season in the NFL history. Mercury Morris won't let you forget it. Always conducted himself with great class in both victory and defeat.
Great football coach and I like his steakhouse restaurants also.
RIP Coach Shula.... _________________ Love, Laker Lanny |

My Dad was a Dolphins fan back then and he really had to restrain his joy when talking about betting in advance that year.. got to gloat all year long...
Leaders and Coaches who do so with only the Highest Integrity and Equanimity are truly a sight to behold. |

Greatest head coach of all time, in my opinion. Coached through 4 different decades, always adapted, always found success. A true gentleman of pro football. The no name defense man, 17-0. Just legendary. RIP Coach. |

What a legend. Only two losing seasons in 33 years. It would be a good idea to rename the COY award the Don Shula Coach Of The Year Award. |

I knew he was a great and legendary coach, but I didn't really realize how statistically evident that was until today. And that's a great idea about the COY award. _________________ You thought God was an architect, now you know

Great coach but I hated the Dolphins back in the day.
They used to own the Colts all the time
My fave memory of him was that he handed the Colts the Lombardi trophy. |
