Read a quote from Dudley today about him not being surprised if the NBA postpones the NBA until christmas 2020 like the lockout season. So with Lebron being one year older possibly losing more of his athleticism how big are our chances of winning a title?
Unless Caruso reaches his final form and just erases everything in his way. If that happens we dont need Lebron or Ad for that matter.
If the season gets canceled I expect the team to start off from where they started this year, LeBron is gonna play like a superstar until he’s 40 but we do need a 3rd option, maybe Waiters can help fill that role or Kuzma.
if they cancel the season then i expect the Lakers and Bucks to get compensated otherwise wtf. the top teams who were fighting for something get something out this (bleep) at least.
flip the draft order so the best records get the top picks.
its easy for these other teams to call it quits when they're not fighting for a championship.

"Title hopes" is nothing but a perception. If you choose to have the perception that a delay in the season inevitably means the Lakers will not win a ring for the foreseeable future that's your business. Personally, I'll do what I've always done. I watch the games and see what happens
Considering the league was already asking teams to come up with plans to play without fans, and considering the money at risk, I think there is very little chance that they don't finish the season. It may be a reduced schedule but they'll finish it.
And no I don't think the Lakers are done after this year. Unless AD walks, or Lebron's game spirals massively downhill the Lakers will be contenders again next season. Now certainly Lebron isn't going to be getting any better with time at his age, but 80% of the Lebron from this season is enough to contend again next year.
Canceling the season is a last resort. Too much $ and too much riding for the league to give up if it doesn’t have to. Lebron story line, Giannis story line, Kawhi story line. The Heat are back. I can see them having an abbreviated playoffs, maybe from one safe location. Best 8 or 10 teams and have them go at it. _________________ “You have to dance beautifully in the box that you are comfortable dancing in.” - Kobe Bryant

I don't think it will be cancelled. I think we need 4-6 weeks of control and isolation in this country and it was stop the growth of the pandemic from occurring compared to China and Italy.
We will all participate and get a handle on it. People don't need to panic and think its the end of the freaking world.
Well we beat the Clippers and Bucks to end the season. It happened in February instead of June but that is the WCF and Finals in my book. Ring #17 has arrived

Which will make it worse if no champ is crowned. Already we’re screwed by the Houston Astericks and no payoff for all the lottery years and Magic fiasco time.
Bro, they're saying that the worst is yet to come (I've heard in 1 or 2 months). There's no way basketball resumes within the next month.
Im not from the States but listening to the news they say the peak of this virus will be in may..That'll be the virus at it's worst. But after that the number of infected will steadily decrease. it's all speculation at this point but im on the same boat as you. This will take time. Take care of yourselves peeps quarantine if necessary and stock up on supplies. Kick back and watch some old laker games.

I wonder what this is going to do to player contracts?
The league and player’s union can negotiate stretching lost revenue over several seasons or let it hit next season. Last time with the TV money increase, the players chose for the one year cap hit. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023.

"Payoff for all the lottery years" = Anthony Davis in his prime.
"Magic fiasco" = Landing LeBron (at minimum). _________________ “Christ did not die to forgive sinners who go on treasuring anything above seeing and savoring God. And people who would be happy in heaven if Christ were not there, will not be there."
