It's shocking how some people don't know there difference between a song and an instrumental.

Easy, Anthony Bourdain’s Parts Unknown. Though I do feel a sense of comfort when I hear the M.A.S.H. theme song, as Omar mentioned. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023.
I was gonna post this- great cinematography in the opening credits, music so cool, some rap song sampled it ( I think Busta Rymes) and the voice over guy sounds macho as hell...
For 2nd place I'll vote for the Great Jan Hammer who had a pretty big Jazz-Fusion career B4 Miami Vice:

Since you don't mention "TV" or "TV Themes". I gotta say, I have nearly 5,000 LPs and CDs and always thought an "instrumental" is a "song", so please feel free to help me understand the difference (besides the obvious lack of vocals)...

I always thought that tune was a rip of Kids In America by Kim Wilde. The background music at least. The naaaaah-na-NA-NA-na-naaaw, part chiefly. In Bourdain it was slowed down.

Charles in Charge, holy crap, forgot that one, classic theme
The new boy in the neighborhood lives downstairs and it's understood. He's there just to take good care of me, like he's one of the family.
Great lyrics and concept for the show, very pre-MeToo. A Weinstein production. And Scott Baio was having sex w/ the probably underaged Nicole Eggert at the time. He took care of her, all right. One of the kids upstairs in his charge. That's why it's not the best idea to give charge to new boys in the neighborhood over your maturing daughters. Scott started off by finding Jamie's underwear mixed in with his jeans in the wash. _________________ GOAT MAGIC REEL SEDALE TRIBUTE EDDIE DONX!
