Guy is def a clutch shooter. The lack of a PG makes a huge difference, how else can u explain the poor 3 point shooting of the team as a whole.
He is not the worst contract we have. We r still paying for Loul Deng.

Atleast Rondo is showing up for the past few games getting into the paint and making passes. Getting steals , 5 steals today.

I think if rondo cuts his brain fades then we will get our 3 pt shooters going

He has the size to contend with Tatum. Kuz is stronger and it helps.

Markieff coming over will definitely help us with bigger dudes

Good game KUZ!
Kuz played some of his best defense today; he put in a great effort in that area. His offense was solid too.

My anxiety level always drops whenever KCP, AC, and Dwight are doing what they do.

Locking down and getting buckets. 💪🏀💪🏀💪

Plus the delayed zone blitzing.

Tatum is not a great passer, need to send an additional guy if he's hot.

Happy for the win, but we were very lucky. We should have doubled Tatum sooner. You let him comfortably drop near 20 in the 3rd after he was cooking in the first half.

Celtics missed a surprising amount of layups at the end of the 3rd and in the 4th quarter which is why I say we were lucky to squeak that one out.

ngl im disappointed with the team and fans. seems like their players and fans just take this rivalry a lot more seriously than we do. we go to boston and get stomped..they come to LA without kemba and we barely win. no blow out for us. not to mention the staples didnt sound fired up at all and this is the celtics we're talking about. smh.

Takeaways:

1. Lakers were in a playoff atmosphere game vs a very talented team and won
2. With that said some of the weaknesses were exposed, starting with when teams get physical down low with AD and refs let it go
3. I am dissapointed that without celtics having Kemba this game was close; that does cause me to pause
4. With that said Tatum was on fire hitting contested jumpers and making crazy moves in the lane - kudos to Lakers for slowing him down in 4th.
5. If Kemba played im not sure Tatum gets this many touches, plus he can be abused on d
6. AD absolutely must do a better job of ball protection in the post - opposimg teams know where he puts the ball and are getting good anticipatory swats at it
7. With thst said AD was a big part for todays win with his 3s, rebounding, overall defense (look tatum was just on fire) and FT
8. Loved lbjs mj/ kobe tongue sticking out before the clutch turn around jumper.
9. Overall mostly good, some bad...while i think Lakers can be critiqued let me be clear in that the officiating kept boston in this game. Theres no coincidence that once the refs allowed teams to play (after lakers fell down by 5 in fourth) that the Lakers won this game. I have no answer re the inconsistent officiating other than today it helped the leprechauns stay close along with tatum

Score one for the Lakers supporting cast.

Biggest complaints from Bron-led teams in the past have been his supporting cast being bad and letting him down. Outside of that Bucks game, the supporting cast and role players on the Lakers have played really well and delivered in big games this year, it's been either Bron or AD that had off games leading to losses, like the 2 Clippers losses this year when Bron was bad in both games shooting-wise. I am honestly not worried about the role players and supporting cast come playoff time, it all rests on both Bron & AD delivering.

Also with Markieff just signing with the Lakers that added size will help us better defend players like Tatum going forward

Kemba doesn't hurt us as much imo because we have good guard defenders all the way down our bench but Danny and KCP on Tatum HURT!

I'm not concerned about it being a close game without Kemba.
If Kemba plays, that's less shots for Tatum.

I take two big takeaways from this game:

1) I will never understand the free throw struggles for James

2) AD had butterfingers tonight, more often than not he just couldn't hold onto the ball

Boston a great team even without Kemba due to their depth and top 2 coach make them dangerous against anyone.

Great W.

This is the type of team the Lakers struggle with, which is a team deep with SG/SF depth. LBJ (at least in the regular season) isn't going to play lock down defense. DG is too slow, KCP too small and Kuz too stiff to really make a huge difference, though down the stretch the latter two did make some difference. Similar to why the Clippers maybe trouble. Markief will help but still hoping for Harkless to get bought out, which would give the team another wing defender.
