Wilder can't be complaining that his corner stopped it. They had no choice.

this is not great for the heavy weight division.....1 sided fight

Fight to make is Joshua against Fury now. Great for UK.

Would sell, I think AJ is bigger and more complete boxer than Wilder even though he is a lesser power puncher. Fury would not be able to be able to body him around the same way he did Wilder.

Joshua still has the WBA, IBF and WBO titles? Fury has the WBC, The Ring and the Lineal championship?

I didn't think Fury was ready for the fight the way he acted in his dressing room. I thought Wilder would KO him. I thought Fury would try out box Wilder. He didn't wait for Deontay he went after him from the opening bell. Wilder was beat from the giddy up. I said Fury would SHOCK DA WORLD!! but I didn't think he would shock it like this.

Kudos to Fury and everyone who thought he could knockout Wilder. Well done!

I was not on the board pre fight, but I promise I picked Fury.....while also admitting I did not see it going like that at all. I called Fury in a decision. I have always thought Wilder's light weight and skinny legs would be problematic against a very large fighter. I expected Fury to lay on him for most of the fight and just wear him down.

I have never been a fan of Wilder, but now I am really interested in how he comes back, and kind of pulling for him. I think he needs to take a long break....just kind of reconfigure his approach and come back at 240+lbs.....but add it slowly and get up to about 255 when he starts training for his next fight so he can go into the ring above 240.

Curious..

When breaking an opponents strike can you bat their arm away with aggression like a karate chop on their forearm?

Also could you run into a opponent and then shove them off you and slug them at the same time?

Sure it's called trapping the hand.

Sort of fun being clueless about Boxing then first fight in long time is this..

I had never seen a Fury fight before or Wilder for that matter

Wilder looked confused before the fight started .. and never really asserted himself very well

Fury on the other hand looked like he trained to go in there and hurt someone proper. No trying to figure anyone out etc.. just go in and do your work

Wilder can really really take a beating.. Single Body blows that knock you on your ass and he gets back up
Bleeding eardrum
Blood from mouth

Some (bleep) shots too close to the back of the head imho
And Fury seemed to be dirty in his lockups.. near choke holds and not listening to the ref which threw Wilder off..

as a casual boxing fan, this fight was a stark reminder of how much more exciting heavy weight boxing was during the Tyson days

Not saying it's the same, but the welterweight division is pretty good. The heavyweight division today would be better (though not the same as the Tyson era because of a talent/heart gap) if the best actually fought the best consistently (rather than these fights being the exception to the norm).

I think Wilder is done, and I don't think he can win against Fury by adding more weight. Landing the big right hand is predicated on Wilder's speed because his technique isn't always great (and he has a reach disadvantage); diminish that speed further, and Wilder has no chance against Fury. The fight to make now is Fury vs. Joshua, and that fight should be easier to make than Wilder vs. Joshua.

easier? what makes you think Joshua won't duck Fury like he done Wilder all these years

Got to respect Wilder for no quit in him.. he still felt he had a chance

Tremendous respect for him, he showed a lot of heart because Fury administered a brutal beating on him.

So different than the first fight, I didn't feel Fury hurt him once in the first fight and this time he hurt him early and often. How about when he purposely licked his blood?

The Gypsy King is a bad man.

Fury is gonna mop the floor with Joshua. Especially this version of Fury, 6'9 273 lbs of force coming for the kill from the opening bell.

Wow...did not expect Fury to stop Wilder or knock him down even. I attribute him having a legit trainer in Sugar Hill to looking better than many of his past fights.

Fury vs. Joshua is too much money for either guy to leave it on the table...hopefully. That said, I think Fury beats Joshua just as easily.

Now that Joshua and Wilder both have a loss, I actually wouldn't mind seeing a fight between the two of them.
