If the Lakers make it to the Finals, it will likely be the 8th time Lebron has been the betting underdog to win the chip. Crazy when you think of some the great players he's had along his career.

Unfortunately for him, he had to face those stacked Warriors teams repeatedly.

I remember the betting lines going into the finals. He was the favorite in 2011 and 2013 and that’s it I’m almost positive.

2007-he was young going against the Spurs. He could’ve played better but had no business winning the title that year.
2011-he has a meltdown. No excuses
2012-okc was rolling but they were favorites cuz heat struggled in the previous rounds because they missed bosh for almost 2 rounds. When he was finally healthy come finals time we saw what happened.
2013-27 game won streak. They were solid that year
2014-maybe he could’ve done more but the spurs had figured out their trapping scheme and picked it apart masterfully. Also, wade looked done as a top player in the league
2015-no love, kyrie injured after first game against warriors. Bad luck for Lebron
2016-epic 3-1 comeback
2017-kd warriors era. Everyone knew what was going to happen the moment KD joined.
2018-same thing as 2017 except no kyrie alongside him.
2020-too early to say but with how well the clips roster looks to take us on and with how Bucks are rolling...and with Lebron seemingly on the decline...if he makes it that far...underdog come finals time once again.

I don't remember him trying to recruit any stars to join him during his first stint in Cleveland. That org did a terrible job of building around him the first time around. Funny how neither he nor the org got any flack in the media about not attracting other stars.

Lebron chimed in about the astros scandal and has been eviscerated on social media. I never knew, nor cared, that Ray Allen stepped out of bounds in game 6 until today .

Yep, KD deprived Lebron of further cementing his legacy while also depriving the sports world of a great three year rivalry. There's a tremendous amount of context to 3-6.

The response to his tweet was overwhelmingly positive on IG. I didn't realize that accidentally stepping out of bounds was akin to systematically cheating for an entire season. Lol social media is hilarious.

How is a ref missing a call in your favor cheating?

Seems like the only ones "eviscerating" him are a few idiots whose brain cells were eviscerated long ago

Here's another one: If someone adds "LOL" to the end of their post, there is a 95% chance they are saying something really stupid.

That's scientifically proven, because I used a number.

No need one for after mine. But by putting one after yours, you affirmed my theory.

Thank you.

I believe he tried to recruit Ray Allen, Michael Redd, Amare Stoudemire, Chris Bosh, among others. Most didn't seem to like the prospect of living in Cleveland. But I would've loved for LeBron to have been able to keep Carlos Boozer and recruit Michael Redd or Ray Allen and then have them face Kobe's Lakers in the finals like those Nike puppet commercials hyped up. Except with LeBron having legit help, to make the series more interesting with no excuses about supporting cast if Kobe won.

I'd get more upset over the Astros cheating if cheating wasn't so rampant in baseball already

18-0 when Bron leads the team in scoring. Maybe having him play off-ball and receiving efficient scoring opportunities does us some good.

Will a secondary playmaker please stand up, please stand up, please stand the (bleep) up.

Since Lebron plays defense again, spends less energy on offense, is insanely efficient, takes more 3’s, and will go down as the second best passer ever... I can’t wait to see Lebron play until 40, in that Draymond type role. Hopefully 28 minutes a game at that point and not guarding centers.

According to the play-by-play of Game 6, Kawhi stole the ball from LeBron two seconds later, and Manu made two FTs immediately after. So this call being made would actually have saved the Heat a couple seconds.

https://www.basketball-reference.com/boxscores/pbp/201306180MIA.html#q5
(scroll up just a bit)

EDIT: Just noticed this play must've been from one of the first three quarters of that game. Thanks for the link yuurin98! Ray Allen didn't have the ball with 41.4 left.
