Don’t break your arm patting yourself on the back. Niners were in it until last 2 min. All we want from a Super Bowl..

Yep, it was a thriller unlike last years game....our Rams couldn't even score a TD...

Man he wasn’t even the holder on extra points!

Side note: how you like Gore? Is he a 1st ballot HoF?

I think so too brother. He is way up there on the lists but nobody remembers him. One of the best backs I’ve seen. Tough as S!

Was in Vegas watching the game at a sportsbook. I thought it went about as I expected it to for the first 50 minutes or so, honestly. The 49ers had the advantage on both lines of scrimmage, for the most part, and they were consistently getting pressure on Mahomes' dropbacks, well over half of the time and maybe as much as two-thirds of the time. It was clearly affecting him, as he missed easy throws that for him are usually automatic, including the second INT which was a terrible pass well behind Hill.

But that's why they play 60 minutes. Poor Kyle Shanahan, but his team just couldn't finish. After getting the INT, the Niners had the ball in the 4th quarter up by 10. A score there (certainly a TD) probably puts it away. No dice. Then their defense, which had been doing so well up to that point, gives up two huge 3rd and long conversions. Then the 49ers fail to get even a single first down when they got the ball up 20-17 with about 6 minutes left. They ran it for a good 5-yard gain on first down and then Mostert is nowhere to be found after that. In fact, he didn't get enough work all game. I think it cost them dearly.

Of course Shanahan isn't the only factor at play here--it's a small sample size, after all--but it's a pretty jarring stat to know that the last two offenses that Kyle Shanahan has coached in the Super Bowl have been outscored 46-0 in the last 10 minutes of the 4th quarter. If he never wins the big one, it's always going to be his legacy, unfortunately. But hey, Andy Reid just changed his narrative, and there's plenty of time for Shanahan to do the same. His scheme clearly works.

Also thought the Niners were on the wrong end of most of the bad calls from the officials, unfortunately for them. But the go-ahead Williams TD wasn't one of them, nor was the DPI on Kelce in the end zone.

Great game, very glad for the Chiefs to win for the first time in 50 years and Reid getting his Super Bowl win; and I'm a Raiders fan.

I'm usually anti-everything Frisco (maybe except Rice-a-Roni). But I had decided that this version of the Niners was awfully good, and I wasn't going to lose sleep if they won. Matter of fact, for the first 50 minutes, it looked like they were going to win it, probably should have won it, if they closed out better.

Chiefs may have won SB 53. PI no call may be the reason they didn't get to play it. That was one of the reasons I pulled for them this time around.

Niners have a bright future as long as they keep this group together. They obviously overachieved this year, big time. I've felt for a while they need a legit playmaking WR. That may be their one real missing piece right now.

Yeah, they have good young pieces, but wow unless you are the Patriots going to the Super Bowl and losing, you never know when you will ever have that chance again.

That's true. The last time the Niners didn't make it back. But all you can hope for is a great chance, and they should have that.

The 49ers have the talent but they had an opportunity to win and they blew it. Psychologically this will weigh heavily on this team in the future.

Happy for him. Went to high school with him. Crazy thing was he was coaching at our alma mater this year before Andy Reid called him asking if he wanted to backup.

And now...he's a super bowl champion.

Hater-bowl

https://www.cnn.com/2020/02/25/us/shakira-jlo-super-bowl-halftime-show-fcc-complaints-trnd/index.html

"Jennifer Lopez's performance at the Super Bowl halftime show was extremely explicit and completely unacceptable for a event where families including children are watching," a Utah viewer said. "I had to send my children out of the room so that they weren't exposed to something they should not have seen."
"My family was very excited to watch the Super Bowl tonight," a viewer from Washington complained. "However, I was not prepared to explain to my 11 yo daughter why Jennifer Lopez was dressed so scantily or why she kept grabbing her crotch. My daughter was asking if she was feeling sick from having so much skin showing."
"The half time show was very sexual in nature. I have never seen so many sex poses outside porn magazines," a New York viewer said. They also complained about "sexy tongue wagging" and "butt shaking."
"What are you teaching young girls?" a Wisconsin viewer said. "Dance around half naked to make men excited then claim #MeToo for harassment? It's ok to be some sexual being and shake your naked rear end and expose your crotch and dance on a pole in front of the world?"
"In our country there has been a push for women's rights and more opportunities along with the Me too movement which is a good thing," one Ohio viewer said. "This takes us back to where women get their worth from their sexuality not their brains/personality and I don't appreciate it on a family friendly broadcast."
"This is not appropriate family entertainment as the Super Bowl advertises. It was appalling! And then having young girls join the spectacle," a Kentucky viewer said. "No wonder there is sex trafficking when you call this family entertainment. And where's the Me Too women? Do you not see the hypocrisy?"
"Jlo grabbed her crotch, danced on a stripper pole," said a Pennsylvania viewer. "Costumes were barely there! With everything going on now with the Me Too movement this is not something that should have been on TV prime time."
"A disgusting spectacle was on display during the halftime show of the Super Bowl yesterday and I'm sickened by the idea that this was broadcast in to so many homes in America and possibly around the world," an Oregon viewer said of the show, broadcast by Fox. "Selling sex seems to be the job nowadays, despite human trafficking and the Me Too movement. Shame on Fox."
"Jennifer Lopez's gyrating on a stripper pole with her butt and her crotch smack in front of my eyes, my husband and children was an affront to women and children and violates your rules," one person from Tennessee said. "I will be boycotting Pepsi and their products and unless you can guarantee a decent half time show next year, we will boycott the Super Bowl.
"It was EXTREMELY offensive to me and my family. Together, those who object will boycott Pepsi and the NFL if this is acceptable entertainment for their games," another viewer from Maryland complained.
"I am appalled at how a television network allowed such a disgusting display of the degrading of women and basically a porn show during the hours of family viewing," a New Jersey viewer said. "This has pushed me to boycott this network and the NFL. Both obviously missed the description of what it is to empower a woman."
"I am very offended by the performance of porn on a supposed family occasion," yet another viewer said. "I will be boycotting the Super Bowl and especially the vulgar half time shows that have progressively gotten worse through the years."
"I was one of those who turned the channel as soon as I saw what the show was about. Fox and the NFL should be held accountable for the show. Yet one more reason to go back to boycotting the NFL," a Texas viewer complained.
