Put a big on him in the playoffs and he'll just go around them. Unless the clog the lane which is where our outside shooting needs to step up |
Yeah, the problem with Lebron is his in-between game when it's not a mismatch. Those are gonna be some of the most important shots in the playoffs when the defense takes everything else away and the play breaks down, and it's Lebron's greatest weakness bar none.
That's why I don't think we win a title. We don't have that dude. |

King James only 17 points away from #3 all time points.
Looks like it will be at Philly, but still hoping for LAC game |

Luka might be out of conversation because of standings.

Doncic is out of the race, I'm pretty sure.
Freak or LAbron will win. The real prize is Finals MVP though!

Lets hope for Philly. If that Clips game is a Laker "Away" game, no way Balmer stops play to honor Lebron. |

I think he breaks it at Philly... Only need 17pts and they don't have Embiid and Richardson. Only way I don't see him breaking it if it's a blowout by either team or team mates get hot and just assists hunt all game. Game was out of hand yesterday and he scored an extra 6-8 points before Vogel finally took him out. |

Not sure Balmer has a choice. Likely a league mandate for celebrating milestones.
I just want to see him motivated, the team playing with some defensive intensity, and most of all a win against a rival.
Clippers are feeling too comfortable in their games against the Lakers. Starting to develop a sense that they have the advantage and potentially “in the heads” and of the Lakers. Time to put a stop to that. Especially during a milestone moment when everyone is watching. |

17 points away? Yeah, that's happening in Philly. Mamba's home town.
Damn, I wish I bought tickets to the 76ers game to watch the Lakers. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Yeah, typically in these things the game stops and everybody hugs, high fives and comes out on the court. I don't think they usually stop the game for a ceremony or speeches. Most likely, they'll just be a time out after the record-breaking basket, and a lot of cheering, etc. |

Think Jeannie will do anything for the first home game after Lebron breaks the record? Video montage? Would be cool if Kobe gave a quick congratulations pre-game in front of the crowd. |

Tuesday is a Lakers home game, not a LAC home game.

His going around days are in the rear view mirror. He is good for 1-2 plays a game these days. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

Minny had the class to do so and give Kobe a huge round of applause when he passed MJ.
Philly will show the same class. Passing up all time greats like Kobe for 3rd is a huge accomplishment. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

So I decided to go to local Laker Season Ticket Holder watch parties (more than one of them) to hopefully watch LAbron pass Bryant.
I'm getting a custom made #LAbron cake with purple and gold frosting, an image of him, and a statement about him being #3 all time scorer.
I've been wearing my Lebron Lakers shirt all week. Also seeing a LOT of Lebron Lakers jerseys and shirts around Los Angeles, especially this week. It's wild to see how quickly Bron has become an icon in Los Angeles. |

When LBJ passes Kobe's spot this Saturday, can we not do "3-6" and "Delonte West" and just enjoy the moment?
It's amazing how many Lakers are in the top 10 all-time scoring. We are lucky to have these greats as Lakers. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

LOL, okay i will if I get the chance. I have seen him in person a few times around L.A. and at some events. Nicest guy in the world. I think everyone strives to be just like #JerryWest
What I meant by the comment though is that regardless of regular season, we want to be the best team in the Finals and with the Chip.

Haven't noticed any difference where I work tbh. Icon is a bit overboard imo. |

Since they did it when Kobe passed MJ to get to third on the list.
They also stopped the game when Lebron passed Kobe.
Some people like to celebrate big moments; some like to scream "Stay off my lawn" to those who are celebrating. We all choose which group we want to belong to. |

You and I definitely run in different circles.
I spend most days in a coffee shop working over my laptop, and hear people talking about politics, business, and movies. Virtually never hear anyone talking about the Lakers. And I've met former Lakers in those coffee shops. I've run into AC Green and Kareem at different events.
I see someone wearing a Lebron jersey maybe once a month.
Most of my friends don't care about the Lakers at all.
Outside of LG, the Lakers pretty much don't exist in my day-to-day world.
