Been waiting for this since he turned down the Lakers gig. If he was getting 1.6million/year as a top Cavs assistant, he’s likely getting a decent bump in salary with Ballmer. Too bad he left a bit of buss money on the table and doesn’t get to coach LeBron+AD.

Clippers have all the right things in place. If they don’t win the championship then it would be really sad for them. Here’s to hoping!

LOL, so Lue turned down the Lakers gig, because he did not want the Team telling him who he had to hire for his Assistant Coaches, then takes LESS money to be an Assistant Coach..

Anyone else see the irony in that?

(And with the roster the Lakers now have, I'm glad that they did not hire Lue....)

lol, yahoo got no chill

The Cavaliers had real problems when they fired Lue. They looked extremely misaligned. Lue was saying corny things like the season being about “wins and lessons,” not wins and losses. With a record of zero wins and six lessons, Cleveland was brimming with frustration.

I wonder how Lue feels these days about that contract offer from the Lakers. Things may work out for him, but right now he must be kicking himself.

From taking on the best coaching job in the league to an assistant... must not feel good at all.

I hope Lue rushes the court Doc Rivers style against the Lakers, falls down, and Vogel steps over him in the playoffs.
