Lebron doubtful tomorro vs Denver

Quote:
LeBron James has a thoracic muscle strain and is doubtful to play tomorrow against Denver. We’ll see if Frank Vogel has some details about when it happened, etc., in a moment.

Injuries are the bane of the NBA. That's why Bron looks so sluggish. 2nd times he's been injured. The body can only take so much beating. Time to do some serious load management. Think playoffs and finals. Take some pages from Rivers and Popovich's books.

With Lebron out, it’s a loss.

If we could get one of those Kuzma 30+ point games, I would say maybe but I don’t think he has figured out how to do that on this team yet.

This is why I preach load managing. From my experience it doesn't matter if its lifting weight basketball snowboarding or whatever. If you don't rest your body it eventually breaks down.

Its easy for a lot of poster to say tough it out and play all 82 games or you can rest in game if we blown them out but basketball is very hard on the body whether you play 30 or 36 minutes. LBJ and AD need full games off on a consistent basis

When was the last season the Lakers didn't experience a serious injury... 2011?

I hope they are load managing and just saying its a strain as a way not to get fined

I think the strain muscle injury is a keyword for load management, LeBron played through it the last 2 games I think the reason why the Lakers aren’t calling tommorow’s game for LeBron a load management is because they don’t want to be seen as copying ideas from the Clippers.

Of course its going to be an avalanche, its what we have been saying all year long was going to happen.

When you have the better ideology and now there is ammo to use for our gun... Of course we are going to fire.

Lets just hope it is load managing disguised as a strain... i mean we did tank more smoothly than other teams maybe were load managing more smoothly too

Watching the last 2 games, Lebron isn’t close to healthy. Good time for a break.

I believe he's out unless they switch to game time decision which means he's playing. I really don't like the idea of Rondo leading the team. I almost prefer Caruso.

Point guard by committee; not much to choose from at this point but both can be dependable replacements in the short run.

Against Denver I'd start Caruso on Murray for defensive purposes. Caruso is not a pure pg, he's more of a defender than a distributor;
Rondo is a pure pg, he is good from deep but his defense is almost nil.

If Vogel coaches uses them strategically correct (in-game) they could get the job done. IMO we'll be fine.

PS: Also this is a good time to see what THT can do in a real NBA game.

I keep seeing this but it's not translating to better offense. Maybe it will work better with a role player in place of LeBron.

Unfortunately we don't have that luxury. Rondo's skills and defense are nowhere near LBJ levels therefore the drop-off is huge.
Rondo, Caruso, even Cook will have to step up big-time.
