Yeah, 1-3 did great at developing Mandalorian's story but 4-5 are absolute CW channel filler. Felt like midseries Quantum Leap.

If not him, someone else's build, at least. 3rd coolest pure droid in the universe

1.) artoo
2.) threepio
3.) bounty droid
4.) droideka

i feel like this list is missing a one: HK-47, the greatest of them all! (even if he's no longer canon )

Funny you say, when I watched 5 I was thinking, "this reminds me of cheesy '80's network TV". Some cringey moments for sure in that one.

In the end, I guess the show couldn't help but be Star Wars. It's 15 min of action and 15 min of Baby Yoda cuteness.

kotor was made before Disney bought all of the SW intellectual property, thus making the story potentially tossed away when Disney declared the Expanded Universe no longer canon (mostly affecting all those novels written during the timespan). however, I did some research and discovered kotor (or at least parts of it) was reintegrated as canon during the Star Wars Rebels tv series.

not sure if HK-47 was mentioned, but Revan was...and he's the creator of HK-47, so in my book, he's in!

Anyone know how many episodes are planned for the season? I am partly through episode 5, and I started watching the Clone Wars animated series (surprisingly good so far after watching the animated movie first) since it's on Disney+ too.

absolutely...this thing has turned quite the corner. If the next episode switches to yet another non-sequitur, inconsequential side quest I think I might bail.

Yeah. I'll read about it. I would rather have done that for eps 4 and 5.

My main gripe with Mando is that he's a smart dude, with elite bounty hunting and combat abilities; he was told by Chubbs that every Hunter in the galaxy had a tracking device on baby Yoda, yet he seems to be caught off guard that someone tracked him down or so careless that he allowed a stranger, wanna-be Hunter to see Yoda.

Seems like he would be better at protecting him.

Also, I get the feeling that Disney is just trying to made him a cross between Batman and Iron Man, so as to make Star Wars more like a comic.

Haven't watched Episode 6, yet, but loved 1-5.

PAINFUL ADMISSION: (Geeks only)

1 - After 40 years, I'm a Legends guy and HATE the new canon.

2 - I still play KOTOR 2 - I have HK47 dual-wield Mandalorian Rippers and just destroy enemies.

The old canon had an awful lot of (bleep)
But the good stuff was great. Hopefully they re-utilize it, like they did with Thrown in Rebels (great TV show, actually)

I just wish they'd move the story along if there is one. So far, just one random adventure after another.

It seems like they didn't want to compromise the 1st season with a great story arch when a 2nd season wasn't confirmed.

Now that the 2nd season is already being made, I think it will be vastly different than this episodic stuff

Huh? You lost me. If a 2nd season wasn't confirmed, wouldn't you want to go all in on the first season?

Not going all in, but instead focusing on smaller, closed histories every episode.
