And now to close the evening out on a funky jam that had me literally dancing through my "honey do" tasks for the evening - much to my daughter's displeasure (not my fault she doesn't know badass dance moves when she sees 'em).

T Bird and the Breaks - Two-Tone Cadillac

I Wanna Go Where the People Go by The Wildhearts

Such a catchy tune, one of my favorite pop songs of the 90s.

Glad you liked it! There have been a bunch of great things contributed by everyone who frequents this thread. So glad for that, because I love finding something new.

Not just one of many great songs from the British Invasion, but one of the very best.

BtB, do you know what the bass player is also famously known for?

Interesting to see a KG fan here, I saw him years ago at Progfest, when he did his legendary re-enactment of the Lamb Lies Down on Broadway! He was awesome..

That's amazing man, hope you had a great time. Been some time since KG passed; he was a heck of a songwriter. I'm very fond of his work.

I think I may have that Lamb show on CD lol... maybe it's a bootleg, can't remember.

Marcus can slay it. First caught wind of him when he guested on the Dean Delray podcast(which is an excellent music pod in case anyone's interested) a few years back. Went out and got one of his albums and was instantly a fan. For my money he is the first true millennial guitar hero. His influences are also impeccable.

You sure did. And it's on of my favorites, right up there with "Virginia"

Since we are talking about Marcus, I had a great drive home tonight because I miraculously had the pleasure of having Mulholland Dr. all to myself with no on in front of me, and very few coming opposite, from Laurel Canyon to Coldwater Canyon, so I got to drive it at with what was let's just say a very entertaining speed. And I just happened to be listening to Dave's Apparition (Interlude), which is an awesome piece of driving music, and "Thespian Espionage".

I dig both of those because the Jazz Fusion influences are so front and center and I love that.

Awesome, I love that drive...I grew up with it in an entirely different time when you could roll it. At least I think so, I was a snot nosed 70s kid.

The Marcus King Band is coming DMR.

I picked up two tickets today for the 1/28 show at the Music Box in San Diego for only $32 each...I can't wait!

I grew up on Coldwater in the '70's, so I totally get it. Spent a lot of time driving Mulholland back then. And also going up to watch the late night illegal racing along that stretch. It's a large par of what lead to my love of driving and racing.

Awesome. I'm going here in LA at the Fonda on the 21st!

Finished season five of Bosch and it's rewarding ending with this song completing the mood.

Be Quiet and Drive (Far Away) (Acoustic) (2005 Remaster) The Deftones

Then again, most anything from these guys is pretty good.
