Croutons

Would you like a salad with that?

What is....Salad?

It's that stuff you find in the section of grocery store you have to walk through to get to the bakery.

And why do I feel like I'm responding to an AI.

Because you are. AI= Awesome Individual

Simple way to fulfill the request - one large honeydew.

Oh, no one had the weekend shift?

::Opens door slowly::

EB passed out on the floor in front of the stained couch. Check.

Empty Flintstones vitamins bottles lying around. Check.

Huh, that's a new one. Videos of Barney the Dinosaur singing "I Love You" on constant repeat.

Not surprised by all the wads of tissues in front of the TV, sadly.

That reminds me. Need to buy tissues next time I'm at the store.

You know we're never going to turn a profit if no one shows up to work.

Sure we are, simply based on volume.

No, since that means that the person whose birthday it is isn't drinking to it either. There are only two logical explanations for that - that person is either deceased or doesn't drink, and quite frankly the latter isn't that far removed from the former.

This is a situation where a 99 pack comes in handy.

Fine, that'll do for me, but what will the rest of you drink?

I'll be at the local pub drinking a Guinness.

Figures that you'd go for a lite beer.

I got to check out Katz's. Several opportunities to do so on previous visits came and went but my hotel was in the Bowery, a 10 minute walk away.

The pastrami itself is glorious. At this level it's hard to discern quality between the best. All told, Katz's pastrami sandwich gets a hard and definitive #2 ranking. All you get is pastrami and bread. Want cheese? Extra. Cole slaw? That'll cost you, too. I may or may not have been charged for russian dressing but it's not included, and man, does it suck. It turns out that all of that raving by east coast transplants is just foolishness.

I said it before, but one of the best Jewish deli's in the world is right up the road from me in Indianapolis. It stacks up to anyplace I've been in L.A., NY, Boston, or Chicago. Check it out.

I don't know what Live PD is. Live Police Department? Is it like COPS? I am guessing part of the appeal there is seeing a relative run from the cops.

Some people have birth weeks or birth months.

I'm going in the other direction. I'm having a birth minute. It's at 630 tomorrow morning. Once it turns 631, it's over.
