I’m irrationally optimistic about the D holding up with Rondo’s return (depends on the team). I’m a bit more concerned if we see Rondo/LeBron together offensively. I just want Rondo out there when LBJ is resting and we can put the ball in his hands for like 14-15 minutes a game max.

Hope you are correct. If Rondo can fit in with the team defense, then the Lakers become even better offensively as AD gets his facilitator when Lebron sits. Lebron will play less minutes which we need in the long run. Lebron should be averaging 28-32 min.

Looks like Rondo will play next game. Let's see how it goes.

Rondo with the second unit might get Kuzma some easier shots. We need something to get Kuzma going, and he needs something to hang his hat on other than shooting threes. He’s been terrible at it for more than a full nba season at this point, he needs to branch out a bit until he starts hitting wide open threes consistently, and only then look to take more contested threes like he has been doing.

A decent gauge of where we at, what does opposing coach say?

Starting at 1:07 below spoelstra says:
1. That’s the most they’ve (heat) struggled offensively
2. Credits the Laker D for being good
3. Mentioned the heat struggled to just get open shots (see 88% contested comments elsewhere)
4. Referenced Lakers unusual length on D

He also just looked exasperated (more than usual for him) like a “I don’t know wtf just happened there”:

Here’s hoping tonight Lakers don’t let down. Raptors injured but still a good squad of players that are no joke.

The AD, Dwight and LBJ trio holding their guys to 3-27 shooting is why I want to see them on the floor together more than just less than a minute they had last night.

This team’s defense is insane.

Haven't been able to say that about a Laker team in quite awhile.

Thanks for the recap as always!
