I actually feel like Curry really doesn't have the same body of work as a top 10 or even top 20 player. In fact, I would say that he was really only a top 3 player in the league during that 73-9 season.

I wouldn't put him in the top 10, but his body of work seems reasonable for the top 20 or 30 -- two MVP awards, six all-NBA teams, three rings, arguably the best shooter in NBA history (#1 all-time career free throw percentage; #5 all-time 3-point shooting percentage; will likely retire #1 as 3-pointers made).

Personally, I don't even feel that he was the best player in the league during his first MVP season (23.8 PPG, 7.7 APG). I would probably rank him near Dirk on the all-time list. Top 30 for sure, but no higher than late teens.

He wouldn't be in my top 10. And once you get past the top 10, I don't spend much time thinking about how guys are ranked. I can say I've ever given any thought to where I think Dirk or Curry rank compared to other players.
