Another game that proves Lakers need a Point Gaurd.

Get a legit PG and it's a wrap

Caruso did just fine and no "legit" PG is gonna get got this season without trading some assets the Lakers have very little of.

But maybe...Darren Collison?

#PrayForDarren

that hashtag could be interpreted the opposite way of what it's intention is

Just saw on access sportsnet interview He was asked “how is the shoulder.”

He looked back and puzzled and Hlsaid why what’s wrong with my shoulder. Must have been a false report about a shoulder injury because he made it sound like there was never a concern over his shoulder.

So his shoulder is fine

Update on AD’s “shoulder injury” in the Injury thread. Spoiler Alert - he’s fine.

Maybe I missed it but I didn't see anything wrong with him in the game.

I still like the fact that he falls a lot to prevent putting loads on his knees, which is the main problem area for big men. Though his shoulder will take the load instead but a dislocated shoulder can be fixed easier than a knee injury.

Knee injury = shorter career so avoid those at all costs.

Just had to come back here and put my CARUSOOOOO shoutout on here...I love this dude he gives middle class bald men with hopes of getting out of their deskjobs and hoop for a living.

Caruso is an inspiration and should get more minutes!

Things to like:

- A win
- AD hitting 3s and dominating on a slow Lebron night
- Winning big on a night DG is off target and AB is quiet
- Howard and Caruso pairing defensively
- KCP waking up for a few minutes
- Lebron's FT shooting
- JaVale's memeability
- Dudley taking charges

Things to not like so much:

- Team defense against teams with two stretch bigs
- Transition defense
- Tonight's referees plus Lakers handsy defense
- Vogel not playing Caruso in the first half of games
- Cook on defense
- Daniels when his shot isn't falling

I think the Venn Diagram of posters who consider Danny Green a star and think Caruso is the team's second or third best guard is a perfect circle.

Not much to post about the game that hasn't been posted but just some tidbits from me.

I hope Howard contributes like this on a daily basis, with that hustle coupled with McGee, that center spot has nothing to worry about.

Also, I LOVE those white unis. Anyone who doesn't is insane, so clean and crisp looking. If I got a jersey it would be between the white and the iconic gold (yellow).

To be fair, he doesn’t exactly have the best reputation.

Teams have been asking him to play this role for a while now and the guy refused. Only when his career was threatened did he shape up and decide (bleep) I better do it.

If you were willing to bet on Dwight kudos to you and I anticipate you would do real well gambling if you have that kind of foresight.

Let’s hope he continues to be this new 2.0 version and not lose it when adversity inevitably hits.

I take it you missed the 2012/13 season when he was here the first time, or the subsequent 5 teams he’s been on before rejoining us. I’m glad he’s playing well now but there is a reason his image needed resuscitation.

Exactly. Why weren’t other teams offering him a competitive contract then?

DH seems to have grown up. He knows this is his last chance at the pig prize. The clock is ticking, he's 33. If he continues to play as he's playing he'll get a better contract. He's gonna need one to pay his child support.

I give Dwight significant credit. He agreed to give up guaranteed money to go back to a team whose fanbase hated him and take on a minimum (?) deal that doesn't promise him anything until January. And in doing so he also had to agree to being a bench guy who would be getting 10-15 minutes and be subject to immediate dismissal at any point.

Whatever you want to say about Dwight as a person in the past is hard to connect with what he's doing so far today. I'm rooting for him and hope he keeps it up. It can only benefit us.

This version of Dwight is so much fun. I’m rooting for his redemption story. Dude is really playing like the resurrection of Rodman and that’s entertaining in addition to being a good brand of winning basketball.

I didn’t expect this, but he’s been a key player.

I think he's kicked Javale to the bench. IMO he's earned a starting position. I don't know what happened to McGee. He's not playing like he did before Howard signed.

Folks around here like to call their shots early, too. It's been three games.
