There are many under the radar teams right now and it’s bound that some of them will surprise....

I have the Kings and Knicks as the 2 teams people are sleeping on..

Warriors are a boom or miss team. they can end up being Top 5 in the WC or struggle making the playoffs, there level of play will obviously depend on how Russell fits in cause you know what you gonna get from Curry and Green on a consistent basis.

So weird to see the Warriors listed as an under-the-radar team.

Not after how their season ended. Their "best team in the league hands down" window was slammed shut, at least in the short term.

I definitely see OKC doing better than people would think if CP3 stays healthy.
If SGA keeps improving, the addition of him and Gallo is not a bad package for losing. And I stand by my hot take that CP3 helps a team better than Westbrook would. Plus they got a boat load of picks to pull in someone else if they desired... they should try to steal one of the Knicks PFs.
Too bad the West is loaded... if they were on the east coast I'd peg them as a top 5 seed.

What would GS exceeding expectations be? Reaching the Finals? Top 3 season record?

Just how bad are most peoples expectations for GS with MVP Curry + 3 all-stars under 30?

A lot of people that I have seen think they won’t make the playoffs.

Draymond Green was out of shape last season and had to lose weight. His production dropped off significantly and to make things worse he missed 16 games. He will need to improve on that to give them an all-star performance.

No Iggy, no Durant and no Klay for most of the season is really going to hurt their defense.

And Curry has missed 44 games the last two seasons.

Would the 76ers being in the Finals be a surprise?

Suns look significantly Improved from last year, they have a steady PG in Rubio and they have good pieces in Saric and Oubre, I could see them winning 35 games this year which would be big for the Suns franchise.

Steve Kerr on the Warriors:

Quote:
"Our defense sucks right now," Steve Kerr told The Athletic. "We've been horrible."
"... Draymond can't guard everybody. He's been in the position he's been in because he could switch with Andre Iguodala, Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson, Shaun Livingston. Those are four really big, strong wings. We don't have any of those guys this year. Draymond is a tremendous defender, but you're taking away the most important thing he did."
"Basic stuff, we don't understand," Kerr said. "How many guys do we have who are under 23? Eight, nine? Young teams usually struggle defensively. I don't think we're going to be any exception."

I had Minny as a top 4 seed, we will see how that goes. I think that I underrated the Clippers, Kawhi, in a limited time frame, is looking like the best in the league.

I'm sure some people expect the Kings to exceed expectations. I expect them to underachieve. Walton is a bum.
