* Nice pick-up!
Lakers’ G League affiliate acquires rights to former Gonzaga guard David Stockton
Quote: |
The South Bay Lakers acquired Stockton and Reggie Hearn from the Stockton Kings in exchange for the rights to Derrick Griffin Jr. and two first-round picks.
Stockton averaged 8.7 points and 3.1 assists for Medi Bayreuth in Germany last season.
Stockton averaged 16.3 points, 5.2 assists and 1.7 steals with the Reno Bighorns in 2017-18 before a short stint with the Utah Jazz late in the regular season and in the playoffs. Stockton’s father, John, played 19 seasons for the Jazz in his Hall of Fame career. |

Kostas Antetokounmpo (2017-2018) – Los Angeles Lakers (NBA)
Quote: | Antetokounmpo, who’s probably better known for his superstar brother Giannis than his playing career up to this point, is the only former Dayton player in the NBA.
Antetokounmpo is on a two-way contract with the Lakers, meaning he will split time between the big league club and the South Bay Lakers, their G-League counterpart.
Antetokounmpo will be looking to cement himself as an NBA player in his sophomore season after failing to make an impact in Dallas last season. |

Jordan Caroline underwent successful surgery on his L. 5th metatarsal on Sept. 6, 2019. He is expected to miss 10-12 weeks per nba.com |

Lakers waive Jordan Caroline
Quote: | Because the Lakers’ roster was already at the maximum of 20 players, they had to waive University of Nevada forward Jordan Caroline.
While it’s likely Caroline will end up with the South Bay Lakers because of the $50,000 he can get per the terms of the Exhibit 10 contract he signed in July,
he won’t be back on the floor for at least another three months after undergoing surgery on his left foot. |

Cacok (6 pts, 5 rbs) & Norvell (7 pts) played well enough to avoid the first cut but some of the others will probably be cut soon. |

Bring back Jemerrio. Need active, young players ready to help.
Edit:
Might not be allowed
Quote: | This is where the rules suck. The Lakers could be the only team interested in signing him but they might not be permitted to. There needs to be a waiver system where if a player goes x amount of days without an offer from another team his old team can sign him. |

Quote: | Jones is a bit of a surprise cut after he was traded from Los Angeles to Washington this past offseason.
Should Jones clear waivers, he'll be an unrestricted free agent and may wind up starting the 2019-20 season in the G League. |

Thank you pio for getting all the news for South Bay in 1 spot.
I must say I won’t be as interested in the minor league club as the past since we have much, much more to look forward to now than up and coming prospects.
Does seem like South Bay is very well run, a true farm system for us and now some continuity having Karl here for 4 years. Who’s in charge of the whole operation? _________________ We pour this booze and we drink this booze because we think it's yummy. YUMMY! So over the tounge and down the throat to party in our tummys.
