Why would New Orleans trade him? he's finding his fit with the team and seems to be doing pretty good.

He's young, the team is young, and have a superstar in the making and two stars that surround him that are young and one already all-star caliber player.

They have no reason to trade BI.

They have two stars? Define star please.

Next season is contract year for Brandon....

Ingram and Zion ain't exactly ideal.

They have looked good so far, the team will surprise some. But continue with your agenda.

Not really.

Pelicans might be 3-0 in the preseason, but Ingram's fit with the pelicans is not perfect or close to ideal....

Just like how people thought that Lebron and Ingram would work, Zion and Ingram won't work at all....

Despite it working. Unlike Lebron, the Pelicans wisely aren’t making the offense all about Zion. And naturally you ignore defense.

Despite it not working......

Also, the Pelicans will probably invest 100 percent in Zion if he is anything close to what we've seen in the preseason....

And Naturally you ignore defense of what? Ingram... haha

It will be interesting to see what kind of dollars Ingram is looking for. Jaylen Brown just declined 4yr/$80 mil extension offer from the Cs and Buddy Hield was insulted at a 4yr/$90 mil extension offer from the Queens.

I saw a Zion interview and he loves BI, he thinks he is a funny dude.

still not sold in BI. He still seems completely lost on how to contribute on offense without having the ball and his offense is not that good for someone who wants to ISO all the time.
so far looking like the Lakers made off well by trading him before the extension bill came due.

He'll play however he's coached to play. It really is that simple.

Taking and making threes. Not much hesitation. Still doesn’t move the ball like a Kuzma,.. but on a team with only three guys you’re comfortable seeing Iso in he, Jrue and NAW,.. he’s getti it done. Not bad for a guy who’s coming off of so much missed time. 23/7/4 with 44/39/81 splits in preseason PER 36. I like what I’ve seen.

eh not really.. he changed his playing style quite a bit over the years doing whatever the coach asked.. it was one of my biggest criticisms early on is that it seemed like he was trying to be good at a bunch of things and several completely different roles versus focusing on certain aspects and excel at that in the first few years.

He's still a big question mark on just how good he will be but there is still no doubt he has elite potential imo just like Ball. They are both already really solid players but neither are great which is what is going to make the Pelicans so fun to watch this season along with Zion.

Comments like that make one question if the poster has watched Laker games. It is just ignorant regarding the subject.

He’s not going to rewrite the narrative when it doesn’t fit his clear cut bias.

Buddy Hield has reportedly agreed to a four-year contract extension worth $86 million, per Sam Amick of The Athletic.

Amick added the contract has $20 million in possible incentives. Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports confirmed the details of the deal.

Simmons and Murray both got 5 year/$170m extensions. I wonder why they didn't give Siakam that 5th year?

This should set a more reasonable bar for the rest of the 2016 class. To me, Siakam had more leverage than Ingram, Brown or even Hield.

I wonder what BI can command (and NO would be under pressure to keep him), Knicks should have plenty of cap space to throw $ to him, DSJ, Barrett, BI, Randle, Robinson and then Knox...

Boston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown has agreed to a four-year, $115M million contract extension, agent Jason Glushon tells ESPN.

Probably somewhere in this neighborhood.

Deadline for rookie extensions was last night. I wonder if the Pels even offered him one.

RFA

Looking forward to seeing the matchup between BI and the guy in his draft class who just got a max contract.

so last season the Lakers told Brandon to neglect practicing 3 point spot ups and just focus on throwing up contested mid range shots? And when the ball is not in his had to just kinda stand around with his hands on his hips instead of making cuts and screens?
