I didn’t like Jeanie agreed to this to begin with
Bet if Phil were HC
Knowing the importance of TC and PS
They don’t opt for this China trip

Now jet lag for nothing
And disruptive to their schedules

As much as the Rockets like to fire Morey, they cannot without incurring the wraith of politicians in the US from both parties that waiting to pounce for more press coverage.

The games will not be broadcast in China. Does that mean we couldn't/won't see it either?
If they play it?

So, the only Pre-Season games will be against the Donut Warriors? I hope those bigs give each other a real test in practice.

They’re not canceling the games just not broadcasting in China

It's confirmed China will not broadcast the games. It's only rumor the two games might be canceled. As much as I want to see AD and Lebron playing again, I don't mind some extra rest. Cancel if they want.

Yes but mainstream Media doesn’t cover it and the ones that do are being banned. There’s a close relationship with Google and China as well that either people ignore or just don’t know about. Also just a double standard. Players cry for equality and ignore the biggest elephant in the room. Lol that’s why I don’t really care about actors or athletes opinions because it’s what drives business vs actually change

What is their government going to do next ban all nba games from viewing in China?

Seriously how can the people of China live in silent? Why don't they start a revolution to overthrow these (bleep)?

Because they remember what happened the last couple of times they tried to rise up. Not to mention they have no way to fight back against the government.
Lets not forget that most revolutions begin because of terrible economic conditions. Mainland China is nowhere close to that, the people are well fed and their standard of living is much better than 30 years ago.

I think it just means that the games won't be transmitted throughout China. The camera crews are still there filming the games for the US and other international audiences.

Lets not forget that most revolutions begin because of terrible economic conditions. Mainland China is nowhere close to that, the people are well fed and their standard of living is much better than 30 years ago.

If you've never voted in your life (except for maybe your home room representative in school), what do you care about voting? Especially when, as you note, your standard of living has improved immensely over the last 30 years.

And if your nation (back before it was a nation) has a long, long history of being a regional superpower and is now on pace to become perhaps the dominant global superpower, why wouldn't you be jingoistic? Many Americans have been irrationally jingoistic for going on over a century and the U.S. does have a history of meddling in other nations' affairs with often problematic if not disastrous results.

American citizens can actually freely inform themselves about the baby concentration camps DHS operates and we're not storming the streets on the regular because the new season of <insert HBO or Netflix show here> has just started. It's impressive as hell to see the streets of Seoul flooded with hundreds of thousands of protesters to oust their corrupt president, but in a country that could fit inside of Texas seven times over with one-fifth of its population in the financial, cultural, and governmental hub of capitol city Seoul, it's a lot easier to coordinate and support mass mobilizations there than in nations as sprawling as the U.S. and mainland China.

They do seem to want him to get fired for it, though.

i would not be surprised. they are scared to death of muslims, particularly those 5000-10000 or so from that part of china, who went to fight for isis in syria.

they are definitely doing everything they can to put in a big brother police state in those areas and trying to 'convince' those 5000 to 10000 former isis members not to go 'home'.

Yep, and sadly for the fate of those HK protestors, its not a message of support either. The overwhelming voices I've read is that they are wondering why the military hasn't been deployed to put down the protests.

If this was the case, the NBA would not cancel the games. Not to mention, this would not be enough to force the Rockets to fire Morey.
