I agree about the fit. Not sure I agree they have depth except at the guard positions.
They are seriously lacking in perimeter shooting, rebounding, and shot blocking.
If Gentry can get this team into the playoffs he deserves COY consideration. _________________ "Suck it up. Don't be a baby. Do your job." - Kobe Bryant |

What's the over/under for Brandon playing in regular season games this year?
I'd say 65 regular season games. _________________ LAKERS 2019-2020: NBA World Champions! |

At least Ingram is starting on-court work again. I haven't heard any news about Lonzo other than BBB and his tattoos. _________________ "Suck it up. Don't be a baby. Do your job." - Kobe Bryant |

Yeah, they have talent. But fit is questionable.
I see them being VERY active in terms of trading. They have young assets and a bunch of draft picks they can use. They will also have matching salaries in guys like Favors or even JJ (post 12/15). _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

They need to trade Ingram. I don’t see him and Zion fitting well together |

I don’t like his fit on the Pels. Think he will he elsewhere come next year. With Lonzo and Jrue the ball is not as much in BI’s hands. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Ingram is not good enough to be the #1 or #2 player on an upper level team and the lower tier players on an upper level team have to play off the ball more than he likes. |

Yeah, I think outside of his length on defense that he's not going to bring as much value to a team built around Zion. A guy like Kenrich Williams has a tenth of BI's natural talent, but he knows he's a role player.
But it's only one preseason game. _________________ Under New Management |

He did play better in the 2nd half. But it’s preseason against the Hawks. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Maybe Ingram is still thinking that #2 picks aren't supposed to be role players. He won't get a huge contract as a role player. |

Zion may be the future but there's no doubt Jrue is the Pels best player right now. He was the only one on the floor on either team that looked like NBA All-Star caliber.
I don't see Ingram putting up the same kind of numbers he did last season unless Jrue or Zion gets hurt. _________________ "Suck it up. Don't be a baby. Do your job." - Kobe Bryant |

I like the mentality of Ingram, not believing he's merely a role player.
In this game Ingram actually did put up the same kind of numbers he did last season. No reason to believe that will change.. |

Yeah he's not one to get off to good starts traditionally.. So if he could start off the season playing well that would be great. |

First half wasn’t great,.. but he hasn’t played organized ball in almost a half year. Still a good game overall though. He was boxing the man down low out every possession early on helping where he could. Little things like that seem to go unnoticed |

I thought he looked skinnier actually. I doubt he did much weight training this off-season due to the shoulder. _________________ "Suck it up. Don't be a baby. Do your job." - Kobe Bryant |

No he didn't. But consider the way the team is structured, the only people that are gonna be iso'ing is Jrue Holiday and Brandon Ingram.
Ball will do it, to set up his teammate and that's different. Zion will be the finisher, Redick will be coming off the screens.
So I think the offense as far as isolation goes, will be Ingram and Jrue. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:
