|
|
From the top down this squad has to be the largest assembled cast of players with something to prove:
Coach Vogel: You are on the biggest stage of your career, hope you are ready
Lebron: the weight of this franchises' hopes and dreams rest on his shoulders
Davis: has now been given a cast of players unlike anything the Pelicans gave him
Cousins: what could be his last chance for redemption
Rondo: see Cousins
Feel free to add/amend to this list |

I don't see how Lebron and AD qualify for this (Cousins and Rondo, maybe). They've had charmed NBA lives from the start. |

they might have a chip on their shoulder from Kawhi spitting in their face, but that's the only thing I can think of. |

Both missed the playoffs last season. NBA world forgot AD is a top 5 player and dissed him for the way he left NOLA, while others like Kawhi and PG are hailed as heroes. Everyone hates Lebron, proclaimed him as done, and now he shares an arena with the man who played him like a fiddle and came to claim his throne in his own city + the snake who spurned him last summer? I'd say that's enough motivation right there... |

Agree 100%. Hopefully Daniels delivers the long ball well enough to keep KCP on the bench, or better yet behind the bench.
Daniels = 100% has a chip on his shoulder and something to prove. |

Do they really get knocked for their teams missing the playoffs? I don't really follow talk radio banter.

And LeBron hearing all this (bleep) about Kawhiet being the best player. I hope LeBron does to Kawhiet what he did to Steph in 2016

I think that we need to add to this list:
The Lakers training/health staff
Talk about having something to prove... good lord this staff has been getting such a bad rap. |

Remember how team "MUD" was supposed to play with a chip on their shoulder last year only to become the "Meme" team as season went on?
