The nice thing is Vogel will bench him and hold him accountable if he doesn't play defense this time around.

best option out there... Beverly and Collison were better options but we waited for Kawhi and missed Bev and DC is with JC

Did they try to talk Collison out of retirement?

Who else? He comes up in the playoffs. He is up and down, but what role player isn't.

But I hope he comes off the bench. I want Quinn Cook to get his break.

Any 6'-2" mediocre player capable of making basic defensive rotations would be preferable, IMO. What makes it so bad is that because of his name and reputation it's almost impossible to bench him.

Like it or not, our roster does seem more balanced now. At least Rondo can manage the ball full-time and keep pressure off LeBron.

Is Quinn Cook a legit point guard too? Or is he just a spot up shooter?

Welcome back Rondo. Pelinka’s Pelicans: Rondo, DMC, AD, and Quinn.

Well he shoot 35 % for three last year. It is not the end of the world. Also he can still distribute the ball like no one else in the league.

I like this signing, especially if he's coming off the bench.

Hopefully coach Vogel will make him play defense, or at least devise a scheme to hide him at that end. Rondo used to be an elite defender, I wonder why he's fallen off so bad since he's not exactly old yet.

He can't dribble, no vision, can't create, and zero defense. Bench player

KCP, Caruso and Cook are much better options playing PG.

After Lebron's injury, the dropoff from Ball to Rondo was the big reason the Lakers missed the playoffs. Rondo is an atrocious defender now, and also has a negative impact on offense.

Basically, but Pelicans got younger and better. Though, the Lakers have more veteran experience, which is important.

Fine off the bench, I hope cook is the answer at PG, unless we are still out for Burke. Iggy would be great if eh gets waived.

Rondo got 8 assists this past season, still penetrates and finishes well at the rim and he's been a decent 3-point shooter the last few years (36% this past season).

He's a really solid option, especially off the bench. It also helps that he has a world championship ring.

I guess we kind of needed a primary ball handler when LeBron's out of the game or (god forbid) if he misses time with an injury.

For the minimum, I can get behind it I suppose.

Bron and Rondo is a bad combo. How much more evidence do you need? We need shooters. We get them and people complain about other things. We get other things, and people complain we need shooting. LOL!

Quinn can dribble, I'm quite certain of that. I'm also certain Rondo was a cadaver for half the season last year.
