Should the Nets get their max FA's and let DLO walk, I wonder if the Suns can free up enough $ to sign him. They are looking for a pg, and everyone knows the connection between Booker and DLO. Would be a fun backcourt, maybe not enough touches to go around, but...fun.

DLo should head to Utah in that scenario, imo.

Russell is immature and a poor teammate. Bad influence on the other good kids on the team he's on. This is concerning behavior, dabask. The Nets should consider moving him out and drafting another PG to replace him. It's looking like Magic was absolutely correct, dabask. You'll come around to the facts at some point, man.

What is concerning is that you either don’t know that DLO is on the Nets or you disregard everything that has been said about him there.

I heard a rumor online that MIN is gonna make a run at him. I think DLO and Towns on the same team would be nice. But I don't think MIN can clear the cap space. Alot of bad contracts.

Still doesn't change he's handled it better than magic.

The most ironic thing about the whole magic/russell dynamic is that magic outdid every criticism of russell within the last 2 months.

Magic even "snitched" in a worse manner for comparison. Talk about poetic justice.

It seems Magic was his biggest doubter.
I don't know if Rob or anyone else had the same comments on him.

However I don't think he would want to return. Staying away from the limelight of LA and being away from all that hype/attention, probably helped him career wise. I think he'll either stay a Net, or go to a city where he can stay drama free and isn't so much hype. Such as Minnesota, or Phx. Can team up with his draft buddies - Towns or Booker.

If I'm DLO and Kyrie signs, I find my way outta town. I don't think he will ever have an all-star season again next to Kyrie. He will have more if he goes to a situation where he is the primary ballhandling option like he was in BRK.

I am not convinced that him and Kyrie wouldn't work, but smart money would bet on your take. As far as Russell's stint on the Lakers, I don't see the city as having been the issue as much as the team culture. I expect that to change under new coaching (wishful thinking?).
Either way, I don't see the team or Russell looking for a do over.

Orlando seems like an interesting option for DLO.

Pairing up with AD and watching Fultz revive.

Apparently, Nets won't keep DLO if they get Kyrie. Nets fans saying this reporter is credible.

Quote:
Russell, a restricted free agent, will likely draw significant interest on the open market. The 23-year-old is coming off of an All-Star season in which he helped lead Brooklyn to the playoffs. Members of the Pacers organization are high on Russell, SNY sources confirm.

Potential suitors are lining up for D'Angelo Russell.

The Utah Jazz, Minnesota Timberwolves, and Indiana Pacers are among the teams expected to show interest in the restricted free agent this summer, according to The Athletic's Shams Charania.

The Pacers and others interested in Russell are obviously hoping that the Nets rescind him so they don't need to tie up their cap space with an offer sheet.

Wish he'd comeback to Lakers on a good deal now that we don't have a PG.

Kyrie to the Nets doesn't make much sense for either side. The Nets would be upgrading a position they're already strong at and the upgrade from Russell to Kyrie would be marginal.

Kyrie also isn't going to make them that much better than they were last season if he's the only addition.

everyone tweet this man to come back. he's the perfect fit. Defenses wouldn't have a second to breath while they're focused on AD/Bron with him being able to hit off the dribble. never needed Dlo in my life til now https://media3.giphy.com/media/l0MYC0LajbaPoEADu/giphy.gif

Kyrie is a better player than DLo and he’s a name star. That’s big in that market.

He’d be amazing in Utah. To me, that’s the best fit.

Ironically, he’d be really good in Boston as well, but I don’t think they have the money to bring him in.

Indiana as well, but I’m not sure how significant Oladipo’s injury is, and how he’ll look when he’s back.
