Any else see this yet? I've been looking forward to it since it was announced, I am a HUGE fan of Get Out.

I don't want to spoil anything so I will just say this was a great and original take on the horror genre.

Haven't seen it, but remember seeing the trailer on Christmas Day and thinking, damn, whoever re-arranged "I Got 5 On It" like that is a genius.

Yeah...this is the first trailer in forever where I was like "damn that looks pretty scary". This is coming from a guy that laughs during 99% of "horror" movies.

That's me as well. But creepy can definitely push my horror buttons when it is as surreal and intense as what I have seen from the previews of this one. Especially when we know what Peele did with the relatively sedate subject matter and imagery that was in Get Out.

WOW. There is so much I didn't catch in the movie after reading about it. Worth seeing.

Saw it today. I enjoyed it. The premise is a bit over the top but still a nice change from the endless evil spirit-terrorizing-family flicks of which there are still more on the way. I really enjoyed the visuals in the movie which made it worthwhile to see in a theater.

The symbolism of the rabbits and Jeremiah 11:11 went over my head until I read some articles.

The God's eye view shot of the family walking on the beach with the little boy's mask "looking up" at the camera was one of my favorites. Peele should really work with DP Mike Gioulakis (It Follows) again - that's a match made in hell.

In my memory this is the first horror movie staring mostly Blacks. This is a novelty.

Is a Vampire in Brooklyn more of a comedy than a horror movie?

I think so.

I’m too much of a chicken (bleep) to go watch this, lol. Glad to hear Jordan Peele is continuing his streak of successes.

Was Get Out classified as a horror movie? I thought it a mystery/thriller.

I think so.

"Tales from the Hood" and Snoop Dogg's "Bones" were two horror movies off the top of my head with predominantly black casts.

Tales from the Hood was like drama. Bones was exploitation Those are my opinions. Us seems more to fit the horror genre.

Drama? Tales from the Hood was straight up horror. Not great horror but it definitely wasn't drama.

After watching that trailer I move it to comedy.

Good suspense. Too many plot holes. Saw that twist ending coming a mile away.

Overall it’s good but lofty expectations due to Get Out.

Grade - B

Slightly off-topic but if you want to catch the first episode of Jordan Peele's remake of the Twilight Zone it's on YouTube. The rest of the episodes will be on CBS All-Access.

Just watched it, I really liked it. I guess maybe the capitalism allegory was kind of on the nose, but I found it compelling.

Right. Like, there were plot holes in this (like how some are talking regarding Endgame), but it's just an entertaining watch that holds your attention.
