Given the fact the Kings won more games than the Lakers, this is ridiculous

Luke should have followed his fathers advice and not taken the Lakers job.

He's not doing bad at all after people have commonly parroted "he's a terrible coach."

Good to see Luke's team pull off 3 straight wins in a row vs Mavericks, Rockets, and yesterday at home vs Thunder. They also stopped Boston's 10-game winning streak. Now 7th seed in the west.

That is some good coaching considering their PG and Center was out. Hopefully, LUke has learned from his crappy rotations.

Maybe we just had crappy players?

Have you looked at the kings coaching staff compared to the inexperienced crap Luke hired here?

WE had a better record than the Kings last year.

No, because that really doesn’t matter.

True, Lakers were 15-10 through first 25 games last year. Kings dropped a bad loss to the Knicks to fall back to 11-14. Too bad Luke doesn’t have a LeBron James this time around.

Assistant coaches are a huge part of a team's success/failure, just ask Phil/Mark Jackson.

A knowledgeable, well-rounded coach will meet and attract good candidates for assistants during their basketball/coaching career.

Gotta give props to Luke. Kings are surprisingly in the 7th spot right now lol.

They are 12-14. Luke even as a Laker coach, did his best work when he had no superstar. The downfall for Luke came when he got Lebron and a FO that wanted a Free agent-superstar plan. Luke is solid with developing young players. I think we improved in record the year before we got Lebron, by 10-12 wins. All with Randle, rookie Lonzo, 2nd year Ingram who was not even close to what he is now, and guys like that, even without DLO.

I just do not know if he can develop a team with a star or two, who have pressure to win now. Clearly in LA he was a poor choice for Lebron. Are the Kings really a good team or better - IDK. Did they not have a .500 record last year as well? To me and I will admit I do not watch the Kings, improvement is going from a 40 win team to a 46, 48 win team. The Kings were a 40 win team last year and are on pace to win around the same or less this year.

That said, if we never went with LBJ, and the AD/superstar plan, I definitely think Luke would still be coaching a competitive .500 type of young Lakers team.

What was the Lakers standing last year at the same point? Seems like quite a few Western teams fell off the board this year.

Actually the downfall came also cause we got a roster full of people from mediocre to average at best in FT% and 3pt%, other than at least 5 guys supposed to be playmakers.

So Luke's Kings have lost 5 straight and Hield basically called out Luke in the press.

One thing all of Luke's teams have had in common is chaos. Adversity happens to every team every year, but the well coached teams don't implode when these things happen. Luke's teams always descend into chaos when adversity hits.

At some point this will be an easy post to up date the Title, by simply changing a "H" to a "F", see below:

Luke in interviews is so hilarious. He has no idea why he succeeds or fails. And all he can offer up is "we gotta be better".

I don't know how people here ever supported him. Anyone with a brain can see he has no idea what he's doing. The reason why he tries so many rotations is precisely because of that: he has no clue what he's doing.
