Tid bits from Sam Amick interview:

-My understanding is Magic will be replaced at some point. After that, I dont know what means for Rob Pelinka

-You need to hire POBO definitely before Coaching hire. That option is kind of not there for them cause if that do that, good coaches may not be available to them also.

-Timing was very tough when Magic stepped down

-Lakers are doing good job of keeping intel behind closed doors

-Did hear Lakers never even called David Griffin

-They are shooting for higher people than David Griffin. I don't know names but they feel they can get any interview they want. Don't know if going after elite will bear any fruit, but interesting names that are being tossed around

-Is it real possibility someone is guiding them from shadows? I have heard that yes, but I don't know how much legs it has.

-Kobe has tons of influence on jeanie and this organization, he was apart of her firing her brother.

-We have noise of progress on coaching front but not much clarity every where else

-Jeanie will pull out every plan in the playbook to make things right, I think

He said absolutely nothing.

Short answer: we have no idea what's going on.

I like that the Lakers aren't saying much. I think staying silent has kept the trolling media in a frenzy making **** up. Listening to the the Sedano show on the way home with Ben Lyons and valley girl cheerleader Andy Kamentzky was comedy. These ****ers have no idea. None.
Just an example of the circus the media has created on behalf of the Lakers. There sad story is that most fans are falling for it. The Lakers are doing the right thing, keeping their mouths shut.

I remember there was rumours about KD’s agent will become Knicks next GM and that would facilitate KD signing with them. If doing so can increase our chance of signing KD, would you guys support making KD’s agent as our GM? I mean if we can get KD and Lebron on our team as long as they decide to keep our young core, things can’t really go wrong from there.

If it isn't as a straight coaching job, I think it is more likely he is hired as Coach and GM as Rob is elevated above him.

That's pretty damn scary for anyone that wants to see the Lakers win any time soon. Lakers need to hire a top of the line exec who has a lot of experience and who has a great track record.

Is Marc Stein correct that the Lakers have not reached out to any top execs for PBO? Lakers are in serious trouble if Pelinka is going to be the guy making the decisions and hiring the coach.

Yes, absolutely! KD and Lebron with our young core would be the 2nd best team in the West at minimum if we can get an above avg coach (Lue or Monty). By getting KD you greatly weaken the Warriors while astronomically improving our team.

UPDATE...

Stephen A Smith said this morning Lakers Jeanie Buss is hell bent on making a splash of a hire for President of Basketball Operations. And a name being thrown around is Pat Riley. He does not think that will happen but its being tossed around.

74, and another Showtime retread. At the rate we’re burning through ex-Lakers, Smush Parker may be in the front office soon.

Then again, the GOAT is potentially available this summer

Riley sold his Miami Heat ownership back to the Arison family years ago.

Some coaches and executives adapt to the times. Some do not. Is Riley one of the former or the latter? Well, the Heat have been a .500 team in the East since Lebron left. So who knows? He has a good resume from earlier eras, but we need to be looking forward, not backward. I know that some people will reverently proclaim, "It's Pat Riley!" The same people said "It's Lebron!" and "It's Magic!" The world turns, and times change.

He seems very similar to Magic. A marquee name who's great at closing deals (probably works harder), not so great at evaluating talent.
