28-29 coming back from all-star. Still in it, still talking about activation. Media still not buying that Lebron could miss the playoffs.

30-35 now, and done. That was quick.

That’s because the Clippers and Spurs keep winning and we are getting worse and the injuries don’t help the matter... we needed the vets to step up and they haven’t delivered.

some important games tonight....

Wizards (27 wins) @ Hornets (29 wins)
-- If the Hornets win, we move up a spot in the draft order. Still, I am taking the long view and want to Wizards to keep hope a little longer, and a win keeps their playoff hopes alive. Go Wizards!

Mavericks (27 wins) @ Magic (30 wins)
-- Very similar to the Wizards & Hornets, except Dallas does not need to remain hopeful since they do not have a draft pick. Do not care who wins.

Cavs (16 wins) @ Heat (30 wins)
-- Go Heat!

Pistons (32 wins) @ Bulls (19 wins)
-- Go Pistons!

Jazz (37 Wins) @ Grizzlies (26 wins)
-- Go Grizzlies

Raptors (46 wins) @ Pelicans (30 wins)
-- Go Pels!

Clippers beat OKC. They clear cap space and will make playoffs. Zubac 14 pts, 7 boards, 2 blks. But I'm glad we have the occasional 3 pointer from Muscala! What a freaking trade.

Lakers now hold bottom 10 draft slot!
At this spot, even if we dont win the lottery to steal a top 4 slot we can just draft Hunter who will walk in day 1 and already be a better 3 and D player than Hart and KCP combined plus have the potential to be the next Klay Thompson.

For the rest of this season, tanking is 100% the way to go. I don't think we'll drop lower than 10th worst (3% chance at #1 pick)... but if we're not tanking seriously, we could end up with the 14th worst record (0.5% chance at #1 pick). These may sound like insignificant %ages to some other guys... but at 3%, the worst three teams only have 4.6 times a better chance of getting #1 than we do. At 0.5%, the worst three teams have 28 times a better chance at #1.

One thing not to make the playoffs, but another thing when the Kings have a better record that us.

Teams 9-15 in the west that will probably improve next season are

Kings, Memphis, Wolves(depending if Rose stays) and Mavs.

As long as we get a star FA we will be significantly better then those teams you mentioned, all those teams won’t get any top tier FA cause those teams aren’t attractive.

I don’t think we will be significantly better than those teams and it’s debateable whether Sacramento is just a better team than us regardless of who we add this summer.

Lakers need to build a team. Not just go add whatever max player we can find or trade for whatever superstar is currently available.

We need youth, depth and guys who are hungry to play. Not to mention players who stay healthy and play 82 games.

You are assuming the Lakers are?

Lakers have deep issues and little in fixing it any time soon. No stability or identity, coaching and roster upheaval, FO chaos and incompetence, an aging prima donna cornerstone.

The very things that many continue to cite as the reasons a marquee free agent would want to sign may be the biggest drawback at this point.

Going to be interesting to see how Magic works his way out of this. Or if he can.

Did you hear the disgust in the voices of Jackson and Van Gundy as they discussed the Lakers "not willing to build a winning culture" during the Celtics game? Doubt they are the only ones around the league that look at the Lakers negatively. Reality is, they are not that attractive a destination.

We should already be better than those teams without a max fa.

People here want to trade our entire team because "you need two superstars to win" and here are the Clippers beating up on Boston.

Well, they're not going to win the championship. They're just building the right way because they don't have the cache to short-cut it. We think we have the clout to short cut, and people simply don't like line cutters. You see them at Disneyland or Magic Mountain, they try get in front. The Lakers are those people.

A solid piece. But Maginka thinks everyone is expendable as long as they get their two max guys. But if they fail, these dumb azz moves will be amplified.

I love the Celtic struggles though. Recently, the media was starting to have feel good stories again, about how cross country 6 hr flight helped them get back to form. I was thinking, nothing changed man. The Celtics will be roller-coaster all the way through. Sure enough, they get a beat down tonight. Panic articles will resurface tomorrow. Love it.

I don't call giving away half your team for an asset having cache.

It's like a guy who thinks he's a player, but then has to take Viagra and empty his life savings to front with an Instagram model for a night.

Cache is what we used to have which was the ability to simply talk players into coming here because we were the most likely to have success.

If we stop right this second... apologize to our kids... roll with whoever we can sign... we can still save this team.

If we trade them away for AD... we will be like that pathetic guy who has to pay women to hang out with him.

And the irony of it all is the Clippers are going to get Kawhi without giving up any assets. Meanwhile, Maginka tries to trade for Kawhi and Pop just laughs.
