It feels like the Runnin' Rebels, 7 Seconds or less, Havoc and Press Virginia all mashed together!

The “Grinnell System,” as it’s called, has become the face of a growing movement of teams looking to speed the game up, force a lot of turnovers and score a lot of points. Arseneault Jr. said he has heard about “countless” high school teams that run something similar, and there are a few college teams that do the same. Just last month, D-III Greenville (Ill.) beat Fontbonne (Mo.), 200-146, with a similar style. The Panthers attempted 91 threes.

I think this is like any gimmick style or system. It takes off fast because teams are not prepared to deal with it.

Haven't they been doing this for years? Pretty sure I remember some kid scoring like 130 pts in a game for then a while back.

in high school? Danny Heater scored 135 points for Burnsville High School (WV) in 1960....nothing been close to that in recent history. In college, Jack Taylor scored 138 points in a 2012 game and a 109 in a 2013 game @ Grinnell College....no other player has scored 100 or more in a college game since 1954.

you are missing the point of the article....the article is not so much about introducing something new, but more about the new growth the strategy has had in recent years.
