I hope he doesn't do a Bret Farve. To me Farve ended his career like a fallen primadonna. He knew Aaron was waiting in the wings and would eventually take his job. Brady did the same thing with Jimmy G.

I'd like to see him leave this year. Go out with the trophy. Peyton Manning did after SB 50, John Elway after back to back SB 32, 33. I don't see what he has to prove. I understand it, he just loves to play football.

Kobe did interview the other day with Tracy McGrady. He said with today's medical treatments he could play again, he said, "I just don't want to." I guess that's what Brady has on his mind. Play till he just doesn't want to.

It's not disagreement i just think he needs to retire, plain and simple. He's held a 19 year strangle hold on the league, and thats pure selfishness, and he has every reason to retire and let others grow in the league

Would it have been fair for me to say that Kobe Bryant should have retired because he had a 20 year strangle hold on the league and that's pure selfishness?

No, Kobe retired when he knew he could not play at the same level that he expected to play at. Same goes for Brady. He knows he will retire when he just can't do it anymore. Until then, it will be up to the rest of the league and youngsters like Mahome/Goff to take the crown from him. He's not going to just let them win.

I hope he keeps playing. I want to see how long he can last. Quarterbacks are protected more than ever before and I think even compared to Manning that gives him an advantage. Manning started his career earlier and played at times when qbs took more of a beating. Favre started much earlier than Manning.

I’m also curious to see how long the young QBs today can last, and how long Aaron Rodgers and Drew Brees can keep going. Brees is 40 and Rodgers is 35 and both were terrific this season.

I think he should pull an Elway and ride off in the sunset with a championship.
I dont see them winning it all again.

Sounds like people have been saying that for a while.

If they stay healthy and Brady still plays at this level I can totally see them winning at least one more Super Bowl.

People thought Elway might retire after winning his first ring and it was assumed that he got lucky because the Broncos were huge underdogs that year. Nobody thought the Broncos would be so dominant the next year.

Elway at his retirement also suggested he was pretty banged up and he did miss 4 games with an injury in his last season. He played a style that led to a higher risk of injuries. Brady doesn’t like to scramble as much as Elway did.

If Brady had retired after the Super Bowl win at Atlanta, it would have looked like the perfect time to go. Coming back from a 28-3 deficit to win in the first OT in the Super Bowl-Could there be a better way to go out?

If he didn’t retire after the Atlanta game I’ll say keep going.

I hope my Chargers, or at least the Rams beat this guy and his team next year. So hopefully he sticks around for a little while and his team continues to be great so that we can watch some deserving team make him feel the pain he's inflicted on the rest of the league all these years.

unfortunately no team will be able to stop him. there has to be another version of the patriots in the NFC in order to beat the patriots
