Rich Paul is that 1 person, but in all honesty this would be a good pick up for us.

Klutch taking over

How about the guy actually fits?

We need backup PF and small ball center?

Markieff sucks at threes. 33% on the year. He is not Marcus.

But our 3pt shooting still gets better when he subs in for Kuzma.

Markieff Morris is 100% the signing we should make. First of all, we really don’t need any of the other guys that are on the market. Morris (PF or small ball C with a bit of range) is what we need. Even if he doesn’t play this year, it’s still a good signing because we’d be first in line to snag him on the cheap next season. He’s an almost perfect complimentary big to LeBron.

After I saw that, it's a firm no.

This would be a great signing. Tough defense, Can hit the 3-ball on occasion and is a willing passer. I like this if it happens

The problem is we are filled with players who can hit the 3-ball on occasion.

That should be our team motto.

We need people who can hit the 3 ball period... not streaky players who can get lucky once in awhile.

If we already had a lot of shooters I would think Markieff would be fine... but we should get someone who can score when we've gone cold... not someone who's equally prone to dry spells.

Lack of shooting has been exaggerated because of our struggles due to injury. Bullock and Mascala should be enough after Zo returns(and hopefully shoots how he was pre injury).

It's just pure numbers... Bullock was a good upgrade at a painful price... Muscala... is a little risky.

You can't beat GSW by adding more of the same type of players.

You need players who can go off on any given day.

Kanter might be the better option even though he seems like a pain in the ass.

I like the idea of signing a bargain if he's cleared medically to play. I like Morris he can fill that small lineup role as center in certain situations.

That's funny.

So, at this point do we think Turner is Rich Paul's guy? Since he leaked the AD offers, and seemed to be part of the 'it's getting done' crowd, that feels a lot more Klutch that Lakers.

If he was sound physically it would be a good pickup. Both brothers bring grit\toughness, are solid defensively and can shoot.

The Lakers are "interested" in signing about a half-dozen different guys. So is every other contender. These reports are useless at this point.

Turner was leaking what the Pelicans coaching camp was thinking during trade negotiations. He has contacts inside the Pelican organization.

Which should clue you in on exactly who was leaking those offers

Still hoping Taj Gibson is bought out. Definitely would prefer him if they're looking to add a solid, blue-collar PF.

Marcus is better imo. He is a better shooter for sure. But Markieff I think is a tad better inside the 3point line.

I do think Markieff can be an excellent defender for us and just tough nosed in general. He has been a really good defender throughout his career but this season has been horrible. I blame it on the team he was on

I like Markieff but the injury sounds a little complicated. Seems like something that can flare up. Hope he gets a 100% clearance otherwise could be risky.

Ugh.

Quote:
Transient quadriplegia (TQ), also called cervical cord neurapraxia (CCN), is a rare but dangerous cervical spine (neck) injury. TQ is usually caused by cervical spinal cord trauma, which can occur after a neck hyperextension or hyperflexion injury with possible axial loading (pressure applied to the top of the head). The incidence is approximately 0.2-2 per 100,000 athletes. The rate of spinal cord injuries is noted to be decreasing, primarily due to improved teaching of tackling techniques in football.

Would prefer to use that spot on a guy who can play. Though if it's between him and Melo...
