Lakers will not get Anthony Davis from New Orleans, as NBA trade deadline has passed. But it’s not as if the Lakers didn’t do all they could to get AD. The Pelicans wanting 4 first round picks and 2 second round picks from Lakers stopped all talks immediately afterwards.

Kevin Durant is a rent-boy who couldn't do diddly squat by himself. He and his team were leading the Warriors 3-1 and then choked so bad losing 4-3... so he decided the only way for him to winning titles was to join the team that beat him. And GSW begged him to join because they couldn't handle Bron + Kyrie with their 4 All-Star level players, lol. Easy to have a really high TS% when you're a shooter on a team with that many All-Star level players btw. So all of their "achievements" since 2016-17 are forever tainted AFAIC.

Ummm. I can think of another player who had played a team worse than the Warriors and were up 3-1 and lost. Not sure that's a great example to use man.

Pels will come crawling back after Kyrie leaves the Celtics and they realize Danny played them.

Brad Turner is trying to rescue Magic but quietly, the Lakers do have a better roster than they did yesterday as long as this process didn't mess them up emotionally.

OTOH, 636 pages for Reggie Bullock and Mike Muscala? Yikes.

I'm wondering who's alt that is ...

Don't know whose alt, don't care if it's an appropriate example. I'm new on these boards and just wanted to get a dig back at him cos he's posting that in more than one thread.

The trade rumors 100% took a toll on the young core.

For those of you who didn't see Ball's Instagram post... His story was a video showing his google home playing Bad boy for life by P. Diddy.

Shams is better than WOJ, and he isn't a Boston hack. He destroyed him during the trade deadline coming out with the trades first.

I don't think it was THAT bad. The media is overblowing things. In reality, the Pelicans wanted to wait till the summer. If you were them, you would want to do the same thing. Consider all options before making a decision. From their POV, they gain nothing by pulling the trigger on a trade now other than looking like a fool for being taken for a ride by Rich Paul, LeBron, and Magic.

Getting used by Jerry?

Say it ain't so.

Zubac is 21 years old and has game.

And worse....is we traded him for a below average shooter!

Muscala shoots it at 34%, that's 2 points below the league (bleep) average!

What is the 3 point shooting average for centers?

When AD is likely traded to a non-Lakers destination, will be interesting to see if he will keep his threat to head into 2020 FA.

Will the Lakers punt yet another season for the hope that he will sign?

Hope not. Tired of punting. Lebron getting old

But that's IMO the only way to get AD.

Sacrifice at the AD altar, another season and year of LBJ. Will be costly to get AD if he even decides to join up with a then-36 year old LBJ.

They are going to move the Lakers to the NFL for all this punting.

Nah. If we can sign a max-FA it's bye bye AD

All in all Pelicans are sort of gambling that there will be more teams in the summer trying to trade for AD.

What muddles things up is if Kyrie leaves the Celtics seeing as he's a FA, I don't see Ainge parting ways with the farm for AD.

Knicks will be interesting if they get the #1 pick in the draft, the chance of that happening is quite low though compared to previous years.

I do wonder what happens since I don't think the Pelicans want to play him and risk an injury, you can bet AD and Rich Paul will kick up a fuss about it though and rightly so.

Now I think the plan shifts back to sign a max FA and trade for another weather it is AD or Beal

Also, to have a max for AD in 2020 we will have to get rid of BI...for no salary coming back. He has a 21-22m cap hold in the summer of 2020.

The media always reports everyone is a sure thing to go to the Lakers. Woj went against that and it turns out he was right when he said things were quiet between the Lakers and Pelicans.
