This move feels like an afterthought for sure. At least Zu gets to stay in LA? With Clippers not having Gortat or Boban it means Zu will get a lot of burn.

Yo we kept Zubac and got rid of T Bryant just to get rid of Zubac in a deal for Muscala...

Zubac was 21 years old.....if we use that open roster spot on 'Melo, I will know 100% for sure who is in charge.

A 5/4 with some shooting range.

$5 million expiring and maybe a more mobile Lopez is a fair comparison.

Obviously opens up a spot for a buyout.

I guess that's it.

Muscala is not a good bench big man. He's a 'shooter' who is shooting %39 from the floor and %34 from 3. He brings absolutely nothing to the table if his shot isn't falling - and it most likely won't in the long run.

He's garbage. There better be a pick involved.

Isn't he redundant with Mo Wagner? Oh well - at least he's an expiring...

Also would someone please explain to me why the Lakers didn't re-sign Brook Lopez. Was it just his choice to go to MIL or were the Lakers not interested? Trading to Zubac to get, I guess, a shooter although Muscala isn't really that good of a shooter. Is this them just trying to open up a roster spot? Buy someone out if that's the goal.

Sorry for the ranting but Magic is starting to tick me off.

The Lakers aren't smart enough to know that if West wants Zubac then he must be valuable?

I could care less about Zu, he's been hot garbage since he was drafted and only had a decent stretch just recently. We have 3 centers, looks like they may want to invest in Moe as our young C to develop instead of Zu.

I continue to point out....the current FO's asset management has been very poor to this point.

Very much so. We needed a shooter. Muscala brings that. None of our other bigs know what life is like outside the paint - Muscala does.

Mismanagement of capspace and assets tbh.
Should've just kept Brook and/or Bryant instead of signing Beasley.

Zu has so much upside and has a good feel around the rim. He will only get better in time.
